As much as I hate Liverpool it was nice to see the Sean Dyche d***riding come to an end and we can all go back to hating the way his teams play and the sh** football they subject us to.

The, um, riding will continue for the foreseeable future. He’ll be lauded for his pragmatism, his reliance on English lads, and all that bull****. It won’t end for another 25-30 years until dinosaur pundits and commentators who grew up watching English sides unable to compete reliably in a Europe retire.

Yes, players have to treat with referees with respect (duh) but if you speak to people like children don’t be surprised when they act like it in return.

It’s one aspect of the issue, but it’s an aspect that shows the general attitude of communication needs to be altered by both sets of individuals. I know, we don’t get the audio, but you can tell so much by the way they laugh off protests, refuse to explain decisions, and in general act like a kid on the playground that the teachers said were in charge.

People like to say referees need to be protected, which often means insulating them from criticism—no, they need to be held accountable, be transparent, and speak about their decisions.

They officiate games as if they’re babysitting, and not presiding over athletic competitions at the highest level.

        Ah, Monday.
Yeah its definitely a two part problem. The players are atrocious children in the way they act towards refs, but refs are too protected and have way too big of an ego.

I'll never stop saying that football reffing should just copy everything rugby does.

If only Nigel Owens and Wayne Barnes were brought in as consultants instead of one of their own, Webb.

Damn Haaland's long scoring drought has come to an end, was starting to think the English pundits were right about him all along

                Haaland is shocking ugly—shockingly.

                That is all.

12 minutes in and Emi Martinez already time-wasting. Refs have been more aware of this lately with all keepers not just him and are rightfully carding them. Doesn't stop them continuously doing it though. I would love to see a ref having the balls to give a second yellow for it sometime.

Edit: What a strike by Saka!

If Villa are leading or level in the second half the time wasting will be epic, and not a thing will be done about it.

Doesn’t matter, though, if you’re an actual title contender you beat this Villa side. However, Arsenal have an increasing number of issues, one being how slowly they now move the ball. When flying high early this season the speed of our build-up and play was incredibly quick but we’re so damn slow now.

Tierney on at the half—do it, Mikel.

1st PL goal for Zinchenko. 4 really nice goals so far.
