Re: 2023–2024 English Football Thread
It's my duty as a human to remind those I can that only two teams have played all three promoted sides this season: Nottingham Forest and Spurs.
Also, six other sides have a better xGD than Spurs, but Ange has a fun accent and is one of the lads, so don't worry about anything else.
One point from twelve for Spurs since this nugget, mate.Comment

City players surrounding the ref the entirety of stoppage time. No yellows to be seen.
And more whining as they go off after their draw again. Love it.Comment

**** City and what not, obviously…but advantage being played before blowing play dead once an attacker is through on goal is the type of thing that completely erases the “they’re just bad at their jobs” weekly narrative and instead moves towards, for some reason, that was a deliberate decision that had an effect on the result of the match.
Maybe the Super League really gets its legs once the English Calciopoli breaks.Comment

Ref gave them an easy blame target so they can ignore the sitter Haaland missed and the fact that for the third straight match they couldn’t keep their lead to see it out.
Welcome to your turn of the incompetence for once, City. Sucks doesn’t it?
Now let's see if Haaland's treatment of the ref produces a one-game suspension as they set precedent for earlier in the season. Tell me what's different here.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 12-04-2023, 12:13 PM.Comment

Also, my bad, they actually did give Haaland a yellow card at the final whistle.Comment

Man City charged with failing to control its players. Haaland not individually charged. Told y'all no one else would be suspended for swearing directly at a ref.Comment

Re: 2023–2024 English Football Thread
Third time in twelve months they've been hit with the exact charge, so instead of a massive £75,000 fine that came with the previous charge it might be a tiny bit more.
What's far more annoying is that an entire campaign won't be created and repeated ad nauseam about how its a systemic issue with their club, how its the fault of their manager, and that his actions on the touchline fuel their bad behavior...Comment
