If the English FA did trial these blue cards, Caicedo would have 4 by now. How he hasn't been booked today is beyond me!

Re: 2023–2024 English Football Thread
I know in young players, even a few years can make a difference—but I couldn't help at continuously laugh at the constant mentions of Liverpool's young players. It's not like Chelsea had Silva at the back, or brought Cech out of retirement to play in goal.
But you can't fight narratives—it's futile.Comment

Re: 2023–2024 English Football Thread
I was genuinely laughing at how Chelsea can't catch a break regardless of if they have a young squad. But, now I've been forced to quickly do the averages:
Average age of each team first at the start of the match, and at the end of the match:
Chelsea: 23.36 (removing Chilwell and Sterling, 22.3)
Liverpool: 25.27 (removing VVD and Endo, 23.8)
Chelsea: 22.63
Liverpool: 24.09
I get it, 'Klopp's Kids' sounds fun or whatever, and Chelsea's players were expensive, which was out of their hands, yet they've been judged on it as 'bottlers' or something.Last edited by Krebstar; 02-25-2024, 02:21 PM.Comment

Averages are fun and all but literally half our outfield players in extra time were like 19 and have squad numbers in the 40s-80s. 3 of them haven’t even played an hour of competitive senior football before today. I can’t believe we won that match lol.
It’s the difference between a well-run club with a plan and a mercenary-purchasing ****show.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 02-25-2024, 02:31 PM.Comment

Props to the job Gary O'Neil is doing at Molineux. Wolves are in 8th place after today.Comment
