The Guardian is reporting Liverpool turned down a £30 million offer from Arsenal for Luis Suarez.

If true, thank goodness. I don't care how good he is. I couldn't take the insane distraction and the diving.

I think this is just Arsenal's way of trying to get Real Madrid to stop dragging their feet over the transfer of Higuain and get it done.

Or it's a completely fabricated story, as it's known Arsenal want a striker.

The more I think about it, the less I believe we'd actually try and get him. No way in hell we'd double our transfer record on a guy who could be suspended for ten games at any moment. We're way too careful with our cash. We all know that.

But I still think the Higuain transfer will wrap up this week.

He had a very good World Cup in 2010, which is probably what he's known best for. But it all might be moot, because he's denying the reports.
