Re: The Transfer Thread
Haha, Arsenal paying the wages he'd demand.... hahahahahahaha
DPs can be paid basically anything, but only a certain amount of a DP salary counts against the cap.
What would not suck is going to see him play live. I would be very excited to go watch Zlatan completely destroy Minnesota.
Arsene is waiting till the last minute to swoop in with his offer. It might be considerably less and he may be unwilling to negotiate though.
I'm about 4 or 5 hours from Columbus or Chicago. It'd be much more convenient for me if he went to Arsenal.Arsenal Gunners|Kentucky Wildcats|Cincinnati BengalsComment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Alright. Also I got to meet some executives from the League office. And they said that only like 2/3 people actually fully know the rules laid out in the CBA. Which was surprising to me.Comment

De Jong isn't a DP, he's designated to be a DP if Gerrard leaves, and he'll get a salary increase from his current $500,000 salary.Support Local Sports

There's no way 2 or 3 people in the league office know the rules laid out in the CBA. That thing is written on an Etch-a-Sketch.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
The Telegraph and The Guardian are reporting Granit Xhaka is in London for a medical ahead of a £25m move to Arsenal.
Hot damn.
If this does happen, I could see it being for a bit more than £25m, but this has gone from whispers to legitimate journalists reporting it, so perhaps something is coming in the next few days.
Or perhaps we're getting really silly really early.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
I think we've done manager stuff in here in the past.
It's been rumored for about a week, but Brendan Rodgers was officially named Celtic's new manager today. Good luck. Lose once to Rangers and you're out of a job there these days. Isn't enough to win the league in February.Comment
