Ive played a lot of golf this year, but the past two weeks I have been getting forearm pain after hitting a few balls to start a round and then it just stays with me.

From my research, it is more than likely golfer's elbow. A friend of mine said it could be from hitting off the mat at the driving range (all of the ones here are mat only till spring now).

Has anyone dealt with this and, if so, what did you do to help it?
For me, it was grip strength and then forearm exercises/stretches (plus of course just some rest to reset things first). There's plenty of routines you can find, probably more even that are golf-specific, but this video was something I started with way back when.

Thanks! Ill definitely give the strength and exercises a try. I have been icing and resting it the past week. I found a couple exercises on YouTube and I think they are helping, but we will see.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

I've had quite some experience with this... tennis elbow then golfer's elbow in my right arm, then tennis elbow in my left arm, all over the course of 3 years. The YT therapy videos will certainly help, although you'll have to experiment to find ones that are effective.

The game changer for me was working with a Theraband therapy bar consistently. You basically twist it against resistance like revving a motorcycle. Comes in varying resistance strengths but I ended up going with the strongest one. The pain/discomfort level in using it is high at first, but if you use it consistently (I kept mine at my desk at work as a "fidget tool") it offers relieve short term and a strengthening of the forearm muscles to avoid tendonitis recurrence long term.
