With the sweep of the Padres, the Tigers increased their lead in the A.L. Central to 14.5 games over the Twins, who won 2 of 3 against the White Sox.
Upcoming Series
The Tigers are off on Monday, then host the Los Angeles Angels for three games at Comerica Park. The Angels are 53-47, 6 games behind the Astros in the A.L. Soto Breaks Ankle
Padres' outfielder Juan Soto broke his ankle in Sunday afternoon's game against the Tigers. Soto broke the ankle sliding into second base after hitting a double. Soto, who was hitting .307 with 22 HR and 56 RBI. Soto is expected to miss at least 2 months.
