Can We Talk About The Running Game?

Playing on default all pro, it seems as if myself nor the computer can get any sort of running game going. 2-3 yards a carry from both sides. It's like EA just completely nerfed the run game.

I find myself passing way more often than I want too, because running the ball is such an unnecessary chore. It's like your o-line stops blocking when you call a run play. You get a few yards or tackled in the backfield almost every play.

And this isn't be complaining that the game is too hard, I love the challenge in all pro this year, but am I the only one seeing this issue with the running game? Anyone finding success running? Or have the cpu be successful against them running the ball?

After playing 4 games, I'm seeing results all over the place.

Peterson had 93 yards on me in 3 quarters, Lacy has run the ball well and Lacy couldn't run a lick vs the Titans.

Default all-pro.

Just in my little bit of experience I thought the run game was actually slightly better this year, the player movements, don't get stuck behind your OLine as much, etc. Maybe I haven't played it enough to see, but my first game I averaged 6.6 ypc(15 rushes for 99 yards) with Blount with 2 TD's. I rarely ever averaged that in any single game or season in Madden 15. I was on All Pro difficulty. Maybe I'll have to play a few more games to see the issue.

You have sliders, and they work.

I dont have any issues with the Running game, actually my Offensive lineman push the DL a few yds down the field. I get games were i get 2 or 3 avg and then i have others games were i get over 5 avg. to me human running game is perfect.

Now CPU running game is another story, i was holding the CPU for around 2 or 3 ypc. even Adrian peterson. What i did was lowered Tackling to 25, i got crushed. So i rise it up to 35, same thing, and then 40.

I will say 35 or 40 is the sweet spot. Now CPU running game is similar to mine. 3 or 4 ypc most games with some games over 5 or even 6 if they get a few long runs.

To my surprise sliders work this year. Use it.

I too am on default all pro, coach mode, and in the 2 games I've played the running game has been pretty decent. I've faced L. Bell from PIT and D. Martin from TB thus far. Played as CAR against PIT and TEN against TB.

I don't have any issues running the ball but the computer can't run the ball at all, no matter what team I take. Was playing Raiders vs Vikings last night, I held AP to 28 yards on 18 carries! That's not an isolated incident. I think the most yards I've given up in a game is around 50-60.

same as myself. Lowering tackle will fix that.
