Anything from 2K on a patch?

I know its alot to ask that a franchise mode be playable out of the box, but yeah it needs to be patched.

Any word on it or is it just hush hush..

I sent a message on Twitter to Ronnie a bit ago and he said that the patch is in the works but they are also still gathering feedback. Translation = It's gonna be awhile.

I assume it has to be right at the end of march. Last thing 2k would want is a disputed 1mill perfect game because of a bad bug. I know the fatigue bug won't affect the perfect game but there is still some gameplay bugs that could.

It takes a few weeks to be certified from MS and Sony. That would mean the patch would need to be released soon. They are still gathering information.

My best guess is the second week of April.

I agree, they should postpone the contest till the patch drops. Maybe start the contest May 1st. There would be nothing worse than have
a perfect game going, then you wall climb to rob a HR. And it counts
as an out and a HR. Then you would lose the million on a glitch. Not
good.

Plus I am not sure if anyone has seen this but I had hit a triple and the runner was hurt on the side to thrid. Got a pitch runner and the pitch runner come up to bat and the hit didn't count and no runner on third. That could wind up costing someone a million. Could happen in the 9th and your only chance to score so you go to extra innings pitching a perfect game. Game tied 0-0

The Million dollar contest is their marketing scheme to your average Joe blow gamer who doesnt care about a bunch of franchise glitches or notice them as much. I think there would be no way 2K would come out and admit their product is defected enough to push back their marketing contest.

I would say beginning of May for the 2nd patch. I think it took longer than that to get the patch out last year, I wouldn't expect it any sooner than last years time table.

I hate to admit but you could very will be right on all points. 2k baseball and madden is starting to prove that a company should not own the exculvise rights to produce a sports game. More companies make for better games.

Yes, please as much time as possible. I'm having so much fun playing this game, but the bugs are starting to "bug" me..

It's a fundamental premise of a free-enterprise economy that more competition results in better quality products and lower prices (i.e. benefits to consumers), whereas monopolies generally lead to higher prices and/or lower-quality products (i.e. benefits for companies). We have definitely seen all of this play out with the exclusive video game deals for MLB and the NFL.

Looks like I'm going to have keep waiting until a patch is released to see if I'll purchase.

The fatigue thing is the main reason I haven't bought yet and the players contracts being too low is another. If they fix fatigue in franchise I most likely will buy it because I need a baseball fix and have a 360 only.

Please make franchise playable!
