Because, as a consumer who blows $60 on a compact disc that is already overpriced, we deserve more. ESPECAILLY when a game is console-exclusive. On 360, we don't have a choice. If we want baseball, we are stuck with 2K. We deserve at least a better game than this if we can't have our choice of titles.

A lot like Madden. Madden f*cking sucks anymore. It's because it doesn't have any competition. It can afford to just update stupid things like QB towels and rosters each year, and charge consumers a whole new $60, since it's the only NFL game out there. It's bull.

I don't think anybody's holding a gun to anybody's head to drop $60 for a new video game...ever heard the phrase 'fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me?' Seriously, to get so worked up over a choice that YOU made...I don't get it.

I have a blast playing this game--are there warts? Sure, but what one person sees as a flaw that makes a game 'unplayable' (hilarious term right there), another person is able to completely overlook and yet have a good time with it still. You dropped the $60 to buy it, make the most of it or sell it and don't buy it again next year until you're absolutely sure the issues that bugged you are gone. But all the dramatic hand-wringing going on here is a bit over the top. That's just my 2 cents.

Finally, something on the boards that I agree with. Very well put!

Good too see that freezing games are just "flaws" for you. Well I guess there's enough suckers to keep the franchise afloat. That's why I Gamefly.

Last year the game didn't freeze at all. I guess is was silly to expect that it wouldn't freeze this year too.

Yes I have filled a bug report.
I think you are forgetting what it once was like to have no ability to patch games and we were stuck with what was on the disc/cartridge. All of us need to look at both sides.

But that's a double-edged sword too; when there was no ability to patch, you were stuck with whatever was on the game when you bought it--meaning that most game developers took QA and testing really seriously, especially if there were other titles they were directly competing with, because they knew if their game shipped with a bug (like games freezing or no fatigue in franchise), they couldn't fix it and gamers would but the competition's game instead. Now, we're lucky enough to have the ability to patch things, but the game developers seem to be using this as a crutch. It should be nice to have the ability if some bug or problem that wouldn't have been caught through good game testing, but the trend has been to release unfinished games with big problems every year, relying on patches to fix stuff later--the big problem for gamers being that we usually need to wait 2-3 months after release for the patch to get a game as good as we should be able to expect when we first buy the game for $60. The patch thing is great to have, but these guys have really started to abuse it.

Games freezing and the Fatigue bug are gigantic issues in the game. It is so damn frustrating playing a game and have it freeze and game wasted. I have to save the game after each inning and continue to make the game playable, saving eliminates the trophy thing. The fatigue bug is another biggie that kills enjoyment. I love the game, but those two issues are real killers for me.

I've read about all the freezing issues, but I've had the game since release day and only one freeze for me in the menus.

Honestly, I haven't experienced the freeze more than about 5 or 6 times since I bought it the day it came out....that's all I have to go by. I'm not a sucker if I spent the money and am still having a good time with it. I would be a sucker if I bought it every year despite never being happy with it.

The freezing issue is an easy fix.
                      Just turn off replays.
I had about 10 or so freezes, turned off the replays on the advice of someone on these boards and--wamo no more freezes. Pretty simple fix.

I don't see replays as an issue with me because the freezes are not happening during a replay. I get freezes during the game, such as a line-out.

For the first 25 or so games into my Franchise and about 50 Play Now games I never had a freeze. It started around 30 games into my franchise and happened occasionally, no set pattern that I could see. I've been saving the game after each inning to avoid the issue.

Im still waiting for a patch, dont have the game i will buy when a patch comes out, theres some people that dont have this problems (freeze on franchise mode) but i dont want to buy a game that maybe i cant play on the best mode of the game.

I havent seen freezing at all (knock on wood), but I really wish they'd release a patch soon to deal with the franchise problems.
