It sounds like you made the wrong decision three years in a row to me.

Ah. I see. So if I'm moving my infielder to the left and want to dive to the left, I push the right stick down and he will dive to the left?

That will feel a bit unnatural as I would assume that he would dive straight down. If that is how it works I guess the premise is that pushing it down will always make the player dive in the direction that he is running in (e.g. down, left, right) and pushing up will always make him jump. Am I getting close?

Bingo!!! I use that method. Puch right analog down to dive, either left or right, the CPU will dive in the right direction. Puch up on the right analog to jump for the ball. Hope this helps!!!

If I made the wrong decision, it sure feels right! MVP on the PC is amazing because the community (ie. YOU AND ME) have made it what it is and edited it. I'm not waiting on patches by developers..LOL!

Well that will save me a lot of headaches. Thanks guys. All this time I have been trying to dive by pressing 12 different buttons while standing on my head. This will make it much easier.

As a person who modded MVP 05... (if you were into the modded version of MVP 05 on the PC you may remember me from MVPMods.com website) I have nothing to say but glowing things about MVP 05 on the P.C. ESPECIALLY because of the flexibility that allowed one to get into the guts of the game & almost become a programmer of the game. (not sure how much EA appreciated this)

However the MLB series on the PS3 is also a great game despite it's flaws. There is a tremendous fun factor in this game. Personally I don't play franchise or Road to the show. But I do play a 2 player season against a friend (he comes over to my house where we play on my PS3) & we both have derived hours of enjoyment from this game.

In conclusion, both are great games but MLB series is current whilst MVP is past. I still have MVP on my computer but the truth is I have not played it in a while because of my enjoyment of the MLB series.
