**All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition

Hey, so I just started a Phillies franchise and was wondering what trades I should make for them. So far I was thinking of replacing Raul Ibanez , and Placido Polanco, because they are getting older and are slow players. For Ibanez the White Soxs are willing to trade Juan Pierre for him, and I think that is a good trade, but if there are any die hard Phillies fans on here enlighten me on that trade. For Polanco, I really do not have any ideas beside Michael Young, and so far I haven't been able to decide if I really want to pull the triggers on these trades. So please give me some advice on these trades, and if you don't like them, then please provide me with other trade options, thanks.

I'm not a die hard Phillies fan but the team is already good enough to win the World Series and it's not like Raul or the other guys you want to trade have a lot of years left on their contracts. You would be sacrificing power if you traded for Pierre. I don't think Young is a huge upgrade over Polanco given the fact he has 3 years left on his contract and Polanco is a better defender. Sure, you get more power with Young but you have enough of it already.

So yeah just my opinion, but I think I will trade Ibanez later on in the season, but keep Polanco for the rest of the year.

Well, Ibanez was injured last year and thats why his production, went down and he lost weight so he's more fit for this year and I did a quick season sim and he had 26 HR's.

I'd take Young over Polanco, but I don't care for either option on Ibanez and Pierre, but I'd probably keep Ibanez if that was the only option.

Guys forget the other trades I asked about, both Ibanez and Polanco are having great years already, so I just signed Taveras to help out with speed in the outfield in the late innings, and Polanco is playing amazing. So thanks for the help, but forget about those, but I have a new trade to ask about. The Nationals offered me Strasburg for Hamels, Madson, and Ibanez, now beofre you guys say it is unrealistic I know it is, but it is also very hard to pass up because this will not be my main franchise. So honestly what do you guys think of this trade for me, would you do it, and is it fair at all? Thanks for all the help guys.

Hey guys, im playing with the A's as usual, i was thinking about getting a better 3b than Kouzmanoff(more power specially), id be willing to ship out Sweeney(OF), Outman(SP), McCarthy(SP), Cramer(SP) and evan C.Carter(1b)...

Who do u guys think i could/should get for them?
