    Players with Amusing Ratings

Doesn't matter if it's extremely low or extremely high ratings... I'm sure you guys have come across some sort of rating that makes you go "WTF?"

    What's yours?
Mine is Travis Snider... and F for Contact and Power? I know he was absolutely terrible last year... but LOL

I came into this thread going to write Travis Snider lol. Hopefully SCEA will fix his rating hes terribly low. Kid is only 23. Looks like the rating people jumped off a cliff when they saw an inconsistent season

Grady Sizemore is incredibly overrated as usual, and this coming from a tribe fan, lol.

Remember there's no human input in to the ratings if I remember correctly.

            Since we're mentioning Jays...

Linds fielding is lower than it should be.

I know he isn't the best defensive 1B and he just switched there last year. But for his first season at 1B, he had a fielding% of .996. That's 4th in the AL to only Gonzalez,Teixeira,Kotchman

Lind has a 61 fielding ability. Kotchman has 88,Tex has 83,Gonzalez has 88.

So how is Lind at 61 when his fielding% is basically the same as those 3 guys?

Fielder had the most errors at 1B in the MLB, and even he had a 67 fielding rating!Lind should be in the high 70s at least.

This is exactly why I was interested in this thread.

It would be nice if everyone stated their case like this and perhaps SCEA could take note and make adjustments.

If not, Knight and crew could use this info.

Done right, this could be very valuable, maybe even sticky-worthy?

Alex Liddi of the Mariners has incredibly low power ratings in this game. Which is hilarious, because in real life his biggest asset is his power (hit 33 homers between AAA and MLB last year).

Dustin Ackley is pretty underrated all around. Using him in this game, he feels like a below average player.

Carlos Gomez's fielding is atrocious once again even though he is arguably the best defensive CF in baseball and easily covers the most ground. He also led the league in runs saved even though he didnt even play everyday haha

And Vinny Pestano is very underrated struggling to hit 90mph with a F in velocity. Don't know how Masterson is a D for velocity either. Ubaldo Jimenez might be overrated as well off of 2 years ago.

Hopefully when they were doing ratings they didnt use fielding percentage as their only stat since its terribly unreliable..and Lind isnt that great a 1B..combining his hitting and defense hes actually one of the worst...and I AM a jays fan. As for snider...he still has potential but if they are basing his ratings on actual production hes not been great at any time and thats over a 3 year period which these ratings are weighted.

Not seeing how that has an influence on a low fielding rating. For first basemen, I'd say fielding percentage is a decent indication.

Ya Ubaldo's overall maybe, but I use classic pitching and he is INCREDIBLY erratic and very on-point if u ask me. in my chise he's 3-7 with an ERA in the mid 4's

Respectfully, fielding percentage is rather useless. Lind's issue is he has no idea what he's doing at 1B and has no range. Less errors just means he at least catches the balls hit right at him. I'd read up on Fangraphs if I were you.
