    1987 Full 90 Man Roster

UPDATE THIS PROJECT IS COMPLETE AND Finalized

kay Both are done now, finalized and posted in the vault

The first is the 40 man roster

    File: 1987 Final 90 Man
    Description 1987 Final Check OS
    ID: KBunny26

The Second is the 25 man roster

    File: 1987 Final 90 Man 25 Man
Description: 1987 Final 25 man roster
    ID: KBunny26

This is the final version and it has all the players on all the teams to start the 1987 season, for use in Franchise mode. It took almost 7 months to complete since last August and Jemeyers contributed greatly. If you recall we are the two that did the 1987 set for MLB The SHow 2011. We have tried to replicate that to the best of our ability.

    UPDATE OVER

I and Jemeyers have been recreating the set we did for MLB The Show 2011 and we are at about 80 percent complete. There is a thread we had going in last gen rosters but wanted to let anyone here know that my work in progress is posted in the Vault under KBunny, looking to be complete around Christmas.

1987 Full 90 man posted to the vault under KBunny. I have posted entire American League

Finished the Reds last night I am crushing out the least needed first. Basically those with already completed pitchers in the system there are about 18 teams left and about 6 have nothing done on them so I figure those will take the longest. Somewhere
Between Christmas and New Years this should be wrapped up

Back at it today hope to have American League completed tonight/tomorrow with PSN I don't know when I will post next update. This is what I would appreciate from the group. Please let me know if there are created players basically better faces that you want imported into the roster set? I need to know the name of the player/legend and who created it. Thank you. The more I get the better the roster will look

I would take a look at DrSublimes created players. He has over 200 players so I am sure there will be plenty from the 80's to take a look at. His faces are his trademark.

                    They are amazing.

I played The Blue Jays vs The Royals (me) and I can't tell you how sick these rosters are. Thanks for all the hard work and dedication to the project. It is basically going to make this the best baseball game ever. I can't wait to run a full blown multi year franchise with these. Truly amazing brother.

Re: 1987 Full 90 Man Roster

Yeah it has been fun. I have been watching old baseball games on you tube to keep me motivated. Having the last few days off I have really caught up only Seattle, California and a few pitchers on Oakland left. I have about oh lets see

                      Pittsburgh
                      Dodgers
                      Mets
                      Phillies
                      Brewers
                      Astros
                      Padres
                      Giants
                      Cardinals
                      Cubs

Really. Left to do at a rate of one a night I may be done by Jan 6-9 th. it's close but I want to make sure I get the pitch edits in there. The coolest thing about this project is being on baseball reference all day and just looking a few prospects who were cant miss and the stats they put up only to just be done after double A. It amazed me to see sub 3.00 era on a lot of the young pitchers in Minnesota's organization for example. Then poof out of baseball by 24.

Still finishing up American League got Seattle and Texas left hope to have that done to post by New Years. Then going after national league still shooting for the 9th but I'm over 35 hours in the last week. I would say in total since August this thing has easily in the hundreds of hours on it. It will be done as soon as I feel it's right. Still shooting for early Jan. not losing interest just a ton to do. I rated out all minor league pitchers did not use generics.

How do you come up with player ratings?

And where do you find pitching repitiores?

I'd like to create a roster but don't know how to use real life stats to create ratings.

                            Thanks in advance.

Kritter Calculator is a great tool to use also using MrJordans is great as well. It's using baseball reference as a guide and then diving into what happens to that player through his career. For instance using a 3 year average during the prime of a career. A projected before a player hits his prime and then a declining or lower rating toward the end of a players career. For the 1987 set a ton of older pitchers washed around the minors trying to hang on and any pitcher can tell you the life or jump, movement declines as you get older also velocity. It really is taking your time and running season simulations as you progress through the building of the roster to make sure you are close to the real thing. It will be skewed because of the expansion teams but you can always fill them with recent retired vets. Kritters is by far the most in depth and ours are based on that along with MR Jordan's.

Now for pitching edits the best and only book out there is the Neyer James Guide to Pitchers
