Ball physics are simply incredible. The spin is so dang realistic, especially when you turn on a ball down the line. Absolute thing of beauty. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Bunting is the only area that seems... odd. But the AI Dee Gordon did drop down a little spinner to lead off my last game

Directional Hitting is so amazing now......like a brand new experience.

They really nailed gameplay so damn good......every year...better and better and better.

They really tune this game well OOTB. Marvelous so far.

Human hitting does appear to be far too easy for the human player on default all star.

I'm loving hitting on all-star and pitching on hall fame. I have had 12 hit games and 6 hit games. This game is so good out of the box. I love the fact that when you go to the bullpen you still can get outs on hall fame. Last year my bullpen got shelled every time.

Imma just hang out in here while the rest of the forum melts down, if you guys don't mind.

This feels like the best out-of-the-box gameplay in this series - and it was already really good last year, aside from the HR distance thing.

I will say this being a zone/meter player, so take it for what it's worth - The AI doesn't mess around on HOF. It is hammering a lot of what I leave over the plate. I gave up 4 runs to the Cards in the first inning of my first game, en route to an 8-5 loss. Success comes when I stay near the edges - swinging misses and strikeouts. It might be harder to make classic pitching work for you guys on HOF this year because it seems like I need to be either more precise OR more cautious. But there is a greater sense of accomplishment now when something good happens.
