    Yamamoto and Lee

It will be interesting to see if Yoshinobu Yomamoto and Jung Hoo Lee will be in the game at launch. They were both in the game as FA's at launch last year because of the World Baseball Classic. Now that each are on a MLB roster and playing key roles, you would think they would be there.

But I'm guessing they won't be.

Yeah, I get that. It's weird though. They were there in '23 when it didn't matter and now when it matters, they will be absent until a couple of weeks after launch.

Never understood SD Studios and the way they do the licensing of players. To me, it would make more sense to have an agreement with the MLBPA that once the player signs a contract, they are automatically eligible. I mean, do any of them really say "no". Also, if they've been in previous versions, they should be able to use them regardless. They shouldn't have to "re-sign the paperwork" year after year after year.

Oh well, it is what it is.

They were also removed after New Year's. They almost definitely won't be until they have played a major league game.

They where only in last year because of the WBC.... That contract ended 12/31/23.

What made Ohtani special where he was in the game before he played? Or at least I thought he was, but that's going back to like MLB 18.

I didnt buy the hype when he first signed with the Angels, but he was a must- have , hot commodity in early 2018. Sony was smart enough to see he was worth getting right away. I was wrong tho in my original assessment, I didnt see back then truly how special he is.

Dont panic - just grab a good CAP and edit it to as accurate as you see fit, dont let it stop you starting - just play...

Is there a way to add players in a running franchise? I know in 2k that's working with free agents.

I wanted to start friday as well, because I will be out of the country for 3 weeks coming tuesday.

CAPs ruin immersion. Id say wait until they put them in. No rush.

Assuming this year is the same as previous years there isn't. This is one feature that The Show desperately needs. NBA 2K has spoiled me on this because you can export and Import players with their DNA System.

They reached an agreement with Ohtani individually. While it's possible they could do that (it's what they've done with minor league prospects who are in the game), that hasn't been what they've done in the past with Senga, Yoshida (he was in the WBC stuff, but wasn't added to the live roster until the first update in April), Suzuki, etc. in previous seasons.
