I'm in the same boat which is why I don't usually play with the Pads or the Angels, but the Pads could be really fun this year. They're good but not overpowered and play in a tough division.

I played with the Orioles last year and it was one of the most fun franchises I've ever played in this game.

Minnesota Twins: Number 2 and 3 get hit around

The Twins could not create momentum out of the opening win against the Cardinals. In the 2nd game of the season Joe Ryan allowed 6 runs in as many innings and the offense could not keep up in a 7-2 loss to make the series tied in runs.

In the rubber match it looked like a defensive showdown until the 6th inning again, where the Twins lost their 2-1 lead by giving up 3 runs, all out of singles. Griffin Jax helped stabilize the defense afterwards, but again the offense stayed cold for Minnesota.

Byron Buxton is still waiting for his first hit of the season but thankful for him the next series should give him enough opportunities to get right: A 3 game series at the White Sox is up next for the Twins.

Re: MLB The Show 25 Franchise Discussion

I posted this on the 2024 thread earlier but I'll share it here since I reckon 2024 is done and gone.

Alright guys, with the real season coming up, I'm finally getting back to MLBTS. It's been a fun ride, and as much as I'm tempted to buy '25, I'm going to wait and continue this for now.

A quick recap, I'm in year five of my Nationals franchise, which I started way back in 2022. I was running a spreadsheet for the first two seasons, but real life kicked me in the butt and I had to scrap that.

        History
        2022: 56-106
2023: 84-78, lost Game 7 of the NLCS on a 2 out, walk off home run
        2024: 77-85
2025: 94-68, lost in the NLDS

        Current Season (May 21, 2026)
Right now we sit second in the NL East at 26-25, having split a four game series with Miami. Our next series is against Philadelphia (23-28, fourth in the division). We have lost Brandon Nimmo and Brandon Drury for the year with major injuries, and have had rocky pitching in both the rotation and bullpen. The offense is, quite literally, hit or miss. Thankfully none of the teams in the division look ready to run away with the title, as all five teams are separated by just four games.

one of my starters just broke his wrist in spring training because every single player in this game decides they want to slide head first into first base. This is BS. Fix your game SCEA. Definitely not saving this game lol. Its Spring Training, doesnt count.

Is it on autobaserunning? I haven’t seen anyone slide into first unless it’s triggered by a user. That’s hilarious though since it’s kind of what that player gets for sliding into first.

              Minnesota Twins 2025: 1-3

Is that already a crisis call? The Twins blew a 3-0 lead against the White Sox, with Duran giving up 2 runs in the 9th inning for a walkoff.

Again the offense wasn't a problem for the Twins as long as ther were no runners in scoring position and then all bats went cold. Royce Lewis joined his Co-Stars with their struggle to start the season.

Some lineup changes are already in the works: Jose Miranda will hit 1st now, since he is still one of the better contact hitters with Wallner behind him, since he's the best hitter on the team right now. This way the Correa-Buxton combination will be split up for a bit.

I think its just like the constant diving back to 3B on groundballs to third ? That has never been fixed

I would LOVE IT if I got injuries in Spring Training! Even with max slider I rarely get any. Hopeful they fixed the toned down Spring injuries.

Is there no Top Prospects list inside franchise mode?

It also looks like they reigned in the prospects ratings. None over 69. Andrew Painter looks like he should be the number one prospectin game IMO.

                        They are both still there.

Under the MLB logo tab at the top right corner of the franchise UI screen, you need to scroll down. Top Prospects are under injuries, PPI is under Top Prospects, and Stadium Assignments is under PPI.

                        They didn't remove anything

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Thank-you Country Boy!.I was getting antsy for a minute there.
It looks like what they did was increase the font size, creating the need to scroll down. Previously there was no scroll down, it was all visible because of a smaller font.

Minnesota Twins 2025: A tale of two halves

The good news: The Twins just allowed a total of 13 runs in the last 5 games.
The bad news: Twins scored just 7 runs in 4 of the last 5 games(with a 14-2 whooping of the White Sox inbetween)

Not only did the unthinkable happen and we lost a season series against the White Sox(after the 14-2 we lost a 0-1 game with Bryse Wilson killing our lineup with 10Ks) but then also the home opener against struggling Astros. Joe Ryan pitched a great game and basically made just one mistake, but sadly that one ended in a 2-run home run by Christian Walker. And because the Twins didn't manage another run after the first inning, even though they had the bases loaded in 2 different instances, they lost the game 2-1 just giving up 5 hits the whole game.

It's telling: The Twins are 4th in the league in batting average, but 16th in runs and without the outlier against the White Sox that would look even worse.

The team needs to get the power hitting going and work on situational hitting to get more out of situatons with runners in scoring position. The pitchers are doing a great job right now, but the offense really lets them down.
