Additional angles on Strikeout replays are a nice refreshing addition. The Stadium ribbons seemed to have had some new animations added (on a strikeout I saw flames and the pitcher’s face animated) The broadcast mix sounds great on a home theater setup.
Definitely animations in the game, but when a player is leading at 1st, they have another animation where the runner might put his hand out back towards first base to make it look like he’s ready to slide back. It alternates between that and the regular setup.
Pretty sure this callout of a bad jump is new. Doubt it would have mattered though in this case, either with whether the ball was caught or trying to hold PCA to a single (and I was going to stretch it no matter what )
Not sure if this has always been in the game, but I played a Yankees vs Mets game at Yankee Stadium, and after the loud ‘Let’s go Yankees’ chants, there was a much smaller but still audible “Let’s Go Mets” chant. Thought it was pretty cool.
The no doubt HR from the pitcher POV has me feeling some type of way. Next batter that stares me down after that is getting one in the ribs. Dont be trying to show me up.
American Family Field (Milwaukee) now has the panels in the outfield shut when the roof is closed. In the past, outside of April, the panels would remain open even if the lid was shut unless rain was selected for weather.
This is a nice correction and something I submitted a ticket on the past few cycles. Lid closed panels open is the second least common combination in the history of the ballpark.
