It's not just slides either, you'll see dirt get kicked up when players are just running or walking, or even just moving their feet when getting into their batting stance. The new dirt tech is pretty great. Also the textures are lightyears better.

It would be cool if SDS keeps adding "the little things" in via patches throughout the season. New commentary and stuff like that.

I’ve seen same dirt splash sliding back on 1B. Cool.

Would like it to stick through the rest of the game or inning at least.

I think it's only the dirt that ends up on the grass that resets because the degradation around the plate seems to stay.

Not sure if remember this in any previous versions but I've been seeing/hearing foul tips caught by the catcher and Boog acknowledging it.

I've never seen the ball bounce out of a fielders glove and over the fence for a home run before this year

Speaking of the little things it would be nice if they got the cubs stance socks right. The game is only a year behind smh.

After the inning ended, I saw a cutscene

where the umpire checked the pitcher's hand!

It was a really good scene, but it happened less frequently

than other cutscenes. I played about 20 games and it only happened once.

Played a ST game against the Royals. Hit a ground ball at Bobby Witt and he made a spectacular play rolling over to get my guy out at first base.

Oh and he went 3/4 and stole a base.

At oracle park the seagulls cast a shadow as they’re flying over the field.

Also just love the home team fans saying random stuff to the batter.
