MLB 15 The Show (Community Day Gameplay Q&A Thread)

If you have questions about gameplay please put them in here. Currently this is all we can discuss at the moment. So please refrain from asking questions on modes (online, franchise, RTTS, etc), equipment brands and presentation. I will do my best to answer what I can.

Also, please keep things civil. If this becomes a cesspool of arguments I will stop answering questions.

Have they addressed the problem with user wild pickoffs at first base?

Can you give us your own thoughts on gameplay? What you like? Dislike? What's new? Some things you may have seen that wasn't on the stream.

On close calls at 1st and second base the umpires seem to call the out too quickly kinda like they know ahead of time it's going to be an out , I know it's a judgement call, is this just me or is this something they have noticed, thanks

If you saw any hits down the lines, did the ball roll all the way to the wall or slow down too quickly like in previous games?

Catcher animations and cat like reflexes on choppers in front of plate, have these animations improved or been removed?

Re: MLB 15 The Show (Community Day Gameplay Q&A Thread)

How much influence does directional hitting have, and does it seem like it rewards the player more for aiming in that direction? The biggest thing I've always feared about directional hitting, which was true for MVP and 2K at the very least, is that aiming up on low pitches produced many pop-ups (saying you didn't aim right) but aiming down was a ground ball, so there weren't many home runs on low pitches. What is the remedy for this?

Also, once the pitcher begins his windup, does the directional hitting mechanic "lock in place" where you last selected? It looked like the camera at least stopped in place each time the pitcher began his motion, but I'm not sure if this is more of a guess pitch feature or what.

There seems to be an abnormal amount of bunting with two strikes (and two outs!) in MLB 14, regardless of the batting bunting/speed ability. Has this been addressed in 15? Thanks!
