Gonna go ahead and start a fantasy draft Franchise until OSFM comes out. Ill let the CPU pick every playuer in the draft and then sim the first year completely and pick one of the 3 or 4 worst teams to take over. Also gonna try out a little generator i made for suspending players for PED use. Since the first ones in 05 there has been at least 1 every year. Right now i have it to where there will be at least one and no more than 3 every year. 48% chance for 1, 36 % for 2 and 16% for 3. Here is a pic of how it works.

In that case its two players so i take the top two of the 3 teams. Its player 20 for the Marlins so i open up the Manage Roster screen and go down the list of players sorted by OVR until i get to #20. Whoever that is i give an injury to. Ill follow the real life policy so if they have never been suspended before it will be 80 games. If it happens to be their 2nd its 162. And then lifetime ban for any 3rd offense. Ill apply the injury on whatever day the generator has.

Forgot how to play in the one day between MLB 14 and 15, haha. My fantasy Cubs franchise is 2-5 to start the year and the Rockies just beat me 9-0 even though I lowered the pitching difficulty to veteran and the hitting to all-star. I usually play on all-star/hall of fame.

            Yikes.

Does anyone know how to turn off gm expectations? I'm continuing my full league control franchise from 14 and don't want guys being fired. I can't see where to turn it off.

you can't turn it off if you are using the Y2Y transfer
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I started one with the astros. I don't know if anyone else does this but after a week into the season I go through every team and look at their prospects and find any with A potential who are like 19 or 20 and just try and trade for a bunch and dump all big contracts and draft well and Sim to 2016. I'm excited to see how I do this year.

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread

Start of 2016 - Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Draft

After simming 2015 Cincinnati ended up with the worst record and i decided to go with them and try to turn things around.

Had a pretty quite off season. Resigned pretty much everyone. AJ Burnett decided he was worth more than i though so we let him go. Signed Paul Maholm to replace him and also picked up Delmon Young to help off the bench and play some LF if needed.

I sim spring training and then go off of the stats to see who will earn a spot on the roster for opening day. Kazuhito Nakajima a 20 year old catcher impressd the most and ultimately earned his spot as the back up catcher (for now). He hit .426 with a few HR in about 40 at bats. Going into the season this our 25 man roster.

We dont have a long reliever at the moment. But with 2 off days in the first week we dont have to worry about that as our 5th starter will fill that role. He wont need to start until April 18th.

Ill be playing the first 5 games. Then ill play 1 sim 5. As well as play every inter league game.

How do you guys go about playing games throughout the season. I like to play a lot of games but 162 is too much. What simulating methods do you use?

The play 1 sim 5 method is pretty popular. That way you pitch with a different SP each time and you only play 27 games.

I sim innings 2-5. I like playing the first inning and this allows me to get a few innings (hopefully) out of my starter while I'm playing, and also manage the pen and bench without putting the time in to play a full game. Plus I suck at hitting, so this gives my hitters four innings of me not running their stats in to the ground

11-25 in 2014 with the Twins. I've traded off Mauer and have Barney, Rizzo, and Lake. Also traded of Perkins and a minor leaguer for Jimenez and 2 other starters. Still just can't buy a win. In 3 of my last 5 I've lost a lead in the 6th or later. I scored 7, 8, and 5 and lost all 3. Was up 7-0 and lost 8-11. My bullpen is a mess. The Twins are just bad everywhere.

And the Twins defense is just awful. Blanton who had 3 complete games in his first 3 starts(yea, 3-0 with 27 IP while I was still 8-18, weird) just fell to 3-2 after he allowed only 2 runs. I lost 8-5, but only 3 runs total were actually allowed runs. I cant go a game without an error with this team. Flyballs bounce off gloves, Dozier can not make a throw from short or 3rd to save his life.

It's just an irritating franchise, but in a fun way. I may be 11-25. I may be getting irritated with this terrible team because I can only control so much, they're just bad, but boy do I want to keep playing and turn them around because it plays out like baseball and looks so beautiful. I've got an off day in two games. If I can make it to that and let my players rest up, maybe the mistakes will disappear when they are rested. Right now half of the team is 50% energy or lower.

I'm 0-6 with my hometown Twins. They are terrible. It's going to be a long first season.
