I play every single game. It's actually really fun. I like the know that all of the stats that my team have, I've accounted for every single number. Last year I played with the astros and played every game and actually made the playoffs. However, I did lose in the first round so I was fairly upset.

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread
I'm 2-2 in my franchise with the Indians. Won the opening series 2-1 @ Houston. Lost home opener to Detroit. With my system to manually injure 3 players at random per calendar day (from 40 man roster), I lost Aviles in spring training until early May. He's very useful because he can play so many positions allowing me to have another RP in the bullpen. Can't wait for him to get healthy!
Trevor Bauer has control issues. Pitched well first 3 innings against Detroit, then walked 3 batters in the 4th on his way to giving up 6 runs as they batted around! Cabrera was 0-4 that game even lol.
Kind of upsetting the new renovations to Progressive Field aren't on the game however.Comment

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread
im currently 3-3 with the astros, Chris Carter was doing nothing for me and was on his final year so i put him up on the trade block, managed to trade him and a C potential 25 year old prospect who was like 67 overall for Chris Davis as the orioles put him up on the trade block.
But i now need to work on trying to revamp the batting with more contact batters as astros is near the bottom for contact but i now have them up to 2nd in power. currently.Toronto Blue Jays
Toronto Raptors
Las Vegas Raiders

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread
For those of you playing with a team that has injuries in real life, do you let that affect the game?
For instance, I plan on using the Nats, and in real life Rendon, Span, and Werth are all looking at missing some time because of injuries (Rendon and Span about a month), and was wondering if you guys normally sub those guys out for the first month or still use them as normal?
It would be cool to keep the franchise as realisitic as possible, but it would also make it way less fun to not be able to use 3/8's of my starting position players for the first month.REDSKINS & WIZARDSComment

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread
I've always loved Franchise mode in any sports game. I did a full year Red Sox one already just to see how it went. Can say it went pretty smoothly! The only issue I have with Franchise is the massive decrease in overall in older players. For example, David Ortiz starts out at an 88 and by the end of the season he is an 80 or even 79. I believe this is completely unrealistic. Yes, he's 39 years old and probably going to retire, but that it too big of a drop off in my opinion. What I do it edit his attributes back up to the 88 after each month. Maybe I was being a little too generous, but I feel he should be at least an 85 by the end of the season. Anyone else agree?
Moving on though… I liked the Franchise that I did with the Red Sox, but would prefer to do one once the rosters come out with all the real prospects. I feel it would be more engaging and have more value down the road. I plan on redoing a Red Sox Franchise this weekend. Would anyone want to see the progress I make? I will probably play between 8-10 games in the first season and then bump it up to 15-20 for previous seasons. I would also only play playoff games if we are facing elimination. So if anyone wants to see me post a Red Sox Franchise, please let me know!Basketball: Golden State Warriors

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread
I started my Dodgers franchise last night. I took my save file from last year and exported around 120 prospects, tops on each team.
First game, Kershaw dominated. 8 innings, 10 K's. Won 3-1.
Second game, fell behind early due to a 3 run HR from Matt Kemp. But rallied back, hit HRs with Puig, Turner, and Gonzalez x2. Rallied and won 6-4. Greinke shut them down after the first inning.Comment

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread
Gonna start mine up today. What I like to do is control 2 teams, one in the AL and one in the NL and see if I can build them up to the point of having them play each other in the World Series. I'll use the defaults and see which teams have the worst farm systems and try it here.Comment

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread
I have been playing a ton of RTTS and Diamond Dynasty, but I will be starting my franchises today and sunday when OSFM comes out.
Today I will start one with the Seattle Mariners because I am not worried about having the full minors, but I will do my Pirates franchise with OSFM. I also want to do a fantasy draft franchise with the legends included. Will try and update this post regularly.Comment

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread
So with the new GM contract system, is anyone going to take a bad team or one of the worst records from last year and "prove yourself" to the other owners as an up and coming GM? Try to earn a place with a bigger club? What's the thoughts and opinions on this? Thought about trying this also for myself... And with Y2Y saves now, why not?Comment

This year I'm carrying over my Padres/A's franchise from last year that's currently in July '15. I'm also going to start a new franchise with the Cubs and Astros. Lastly, I'll have another one going with the Yankees/Pirates/Marlins. Now that we have year to year saves I can really take my time and enjoy going through each one.Comment

Got news for you, OSFM rosters won't come out Sunday. Try 4 sundays from now if lucky.Comment

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread
Last time I saw the thread they were aiming for this Sunday. The year to year saves allowed them to transfer everything and they dont have nearly as much to do as last year. So unless anything has changed in the last 24 hours I got some news fo you!Comment

I thought that was just the deadline for the individual team people to turn in their rosters to the editors.Comment

Yes, that's what this Sunday is. OSFM won't be out this Sunday, there's a ton of work that still needs to be done even with the workaround.Comment
