If SCEA wants to fly me out for a weekend, I'd be happy to record like 25 pitching motions.

... only 25 pitching motion? I think they need to replace most if not all their pitching motions. The follow through, arm velocity, body english is simply not there with MLBtheShow's pitching animations.

I agree with this. I like to use Sandy Koufax's delivery for my RTTS pitchers -- Koufax had a very violent delivery and it doesn't translate well in the video game.

I hope that animations and player models can be addressed in MLB17.

Looks like there are going to be some redone pitching animations as well as new pitching animations according to last night's gameplay stream, which is welcome news. I would be very surprised to see new player models for MLB16, though.

One game that does the piching animations really well is the konami japanese game. I know they pitch differently but if yiu see the animations and thejr real deliveries they are very similar.

Agreed. I use Shelby Miller's windup for Tanaka because the legkick is more accurate. But from the stretch they aren't even close.

Re: Pitching windup animations - list a pitcher that needs a new MoCap

It doesn't look like the deliveries got any better this year, based on the streams so far. It looks like the same guy/people who did mocap last year did it this year again.

For Example, David Price got a new delivery, you can see it in the IGN stream, looks really bad again, no finish, basically halfway done, doesn't tuck the glove hand in.

I hope they find some new people or a new way to do the mocap for pitching deliveries next year because the direction pitching deliveries have been heading the past 2 years is not a good one.

The years before that it was looking good, don't know why they're going backwards.
