How soon is too soon...

When you get MLB The Show 16, how soon will you start your franchise? Is there a number a "test" games you want to play first or do you just dive in?

Also, which roster updates do you trust? Will you wait for at least one roster update before you begin?

My plan was to import my franchise right away and bump the difficulty down to all star to get used to the new version. I'm 2-8 last ten games anyway so maybe the changes would help me regain some confidence.

But with the franchise carry over bug I think I'm going to wait and play some DD or conquest first.

I usually play a few exhibition games for the first couple of days with teams i never play with cuz once i start my mets franchise thats all i do. I usually wait for op sports opening day rosters but if i find a top 100 prospects one that is decent enough or atleast just the mets accurate minors i might just jump into franchise earlier this year.

I wait and I wait and I wait... Trying sliders, waiting for OSFM, telling myself I am not ready yet, and after all that, I play half a season and leave it..

New plan: get the game, type in Armor and Sword and Marino slider set, and play. I'm hoping this gets me going long term.

I jump right into franchise with default rosters. I use Spring Training to get back into the "swing" of things.

Don't think I am waiting on rosters this year. I don't follow MLB enough to know if certain guys are missing from teams and I think I can be okay with default prospects (if I do Franchise instead of Season mode) so I might start up pretty quickly. I usually wait for a roster, see a better one will be out in a month, wait, etc... don't ever get started. Jumping right in this year, I think...

I usually start a 'place-holder' franchise, manually setting up each team's 25-man, and then scrap it and start over when OSFM comes out.

I'm going to carry over my Rays franchise and continue that until OSFM roster comes out and then am going to start a new franchise with A&S's slider set.

I'm in no hurry to start a franchise this year since this years game has carry over saves (didnt play MLB15). My biggest issue with baseball games in the past is being able to get through a season so I usually rush to start a chise as soon as I can.

However, I dont follow MLB too closely anymore and would only recognize 30-40 names of actual MLB players so I'm not waiting for a particular roster set. I'll probably play 15-20 exhitibition games mixing it up with different teams to give the dyanmic difficulty a chance to dial in and tweaking sliders before I start up my franchise. I'll use that time to make a decision on who I want to use as my team for franchise and also get used to the controls and gameplay again (Usually go White Sox but may go Cubbies or even another team this year)

I wait until OSFM come out. In the meantime I play exhibition games with my favorite players, explore around the 30 MLB stadiums (And not the classic stadiums), play RTTS both carry over and new, and I feel like I'm going to be playing a lot of DD.

I'll be waiting for the OSFM for franchise. I'll RTTS cause I don't care that the minor leaguers are fake since I don't play baseball IRL. I'll also try out diamond dynasty while waiting.

Ill be playing RTTS and carry over until OSFM comes out, then i start my franchise

This year I will wait for the OSFM roster to come out before starting my main franchise (Giants) in the mean time I'll play exhibition and maybe start a season mode with a secondary team like the Blue Jays. Also with the new modes in DD I will be playing a lot of that as I wait for OSFM roster.

I think this year I am going to be doing season(s)as opposed to franchise as I find myself starting a new franchise anyway after I finish my first season of my franchise. I will most likely do a "feeler" season to start with with the first roster update and then once OSFM comes out, I will start my primary season.

I will do what I did last year. Do a fantasy draft franchise after I've played a few exhibition game until the OSFM rosters then I will start my main franchise.
