Re: MLB The Show 18 Franchise Discussion Thread

I'm going to fire up an Angels franchise once OSFM drops myself, till then I will probably carry over my Braves from 17, actually in the world series in year 2 right now, so what better way to break in MLB 18 than with a world series! and will do a fantasy draft franchise in the meantime as well to just kinda sim through over the next few months.

Can’t wait to get my Phillies franchise started when I get home. Decided to start playing and will sim to get the same record when OSFM drops.

If Franco struggles he will be getting benched so Kingery can take his place. Next year I’ll be looking to sign Harper.

For those who are starting their franchises now, before OSFM, why do so? Why not wait for the OSFM?

I do it to get a sample size for my sliders that way for the most part I'll have my sliders set to give me the most realize production along with the realist rosters when they come out.

Oh my god. The horror.

During offseason contract renewal, there is not a single view on any of the menu's that allows you to see the players potential. If you are a GM that manages your roster-based on future potential (i.e. everyone), you will have to go to the roster menu, look up his potential, then return to the home menu, select tender contracts, and make an offer.

WTF

The solution seems to be to manage it 5 players at a time from the home screen. I realized you can see potential under the "Best ___ Players Eligible for (Arbitration/Without Contracts)" and potential is show.

Seems like a questionable design choice but atleast there is a work-around.
