Well guys, I did it...in game one of my Rockies franchise. Big Jon Gray is #24.




I'll admit I'm not happy with the sliders but I'm also not going to let the fact that this was still a PG. I've played 9-10 games since release and I though I had a good set of sliders, after a few blowouts and getting blown out I got five or six 6-4/7-6 games and I felt happy with that, obviously that expired. This is my first time ever playing The Show, so all this was on veteran and I'm going to take this as a sign that I'm ready for the move to All-Star.

But still, a perfect game is a perfect game and I was ready to lose it on the 1-2 count to Descalso. I'm going to savor it all the same.

Oddly enough I almost threw a no hitter with Chris Archer in my first game of my Rays franchise last night. I went 7.2 innings until Jackie Bradley Jr. hit a double in the gap. We won 9-1 over the Red Sox.

I have just entered the offseason of the 3rd year and there is something weird going on with the phases. I am able to sign my exclusive free agents and hire coaches, but it says that Free Agency I phase is 37 days away, which is actually Free Agency IV. Because of this, I’m not able to offer arbitration, renew contracts, set the 40 man, or participate in Free Agency.

So basically, the phase is stuck in the Exclusive Free Agents phase for the first 3 phases of Free Agency and I am losing all my young talent. Does anyone have any idea what’s going on?

Just started my Yankees franchise, and was taking a look at some of the other teams lineups before playing my first game. Noticed that the Tigers have catchers, with no secondary position at 3 of their 4 bench spots. So they're carrying 4 catchers, and their only backup player that isn't a catcher, is an outfielder. Hopefully none of their infielders need a day off.

Braves took a tough Game 4 to tie the series at 2. WE got 6 strong from Kendall
Graveman who gave up 1 run, 5 hits, with 6 K's. We got down in the 3rd inning after a Francisco Mejia RBI single. Corey Kluber was giving us fits, but we broke it open a bit in the 5th. A walk from Ozzie Albies, followed by a sac bunt by Graveman, than Lorenzo Cain was HBP and Beckham reached via error, we had bases loaded for Freddie Freeman who took Kluber deep for the Braves first runs of the game for a Grand Slam down left field line. the final score ended up being 6-4 as the Indians made a late run before Arodys Vizcaino shut the door. Game 5 will see Luis Castillo vs Mike Clevenger(who was dominant in game 1). On to game 5 for the Braves and Indians!

I'm about to make my first Braves start with Anibal Sanchez against the Nats. I have a feeling this will either be a pleasant surprise or an absolute catastrophe. We'll see. If he's total trash I will probably just bring up Gohara.

Just played my first game in my carryover franchise (in 2020), and as always the game is phenomenal. One little gripe, is that the calendar seems to mess up when doing a carryover save. Series starting on Thursdays and Sundays instead of Monday and Thursday/Friday. Not a huge deal, and I doubt we'll see this fixed, but a little annoyance.

Also, I went back and checked and this was not an issue in 17 (I carried over from 16)

Yeah the schedule mix up is annoying but I can live with it to carryover my save. Hopefully when I get to a new season it is correct.

Like you I don't see a patch coming to fix this as I'm not sure how they could even patch something like this. But if they can I hope they do.

Tuesday is the new Sunday...

Just note that if the game is programmed to recognize that certain uniforms/hats are worn on certain day (Sunday for example) they will still wear it, but it just feels wrong since the game of the series isn't the finale and such.

Again, nothing that keeps one from playing but it is annoying.

Is baserunning not working for anyone. Example i hit a ball in the gap and i hit L1 (the button used to advance all runners) yet my runner doesn’t ADVANCE! i use default baserunning.

Started a Yankee one too, I play every game on HOF and Judge and Stanton cant hit ANYTHING, and my base running doesn't work, have you experienced this?

It will be my mainly played game mode. But, I am a bit discouraged by the lack of attention it gets compared to the other game modes. I mean the intro video is still the exact same from 17. If that's any indication as to how little attention it gets. However, I absolutely love the new menu interface. I've only played 1 game but I can tell quite a difference in graphics and stadium atmosphere from 17 to 18. Hopefully this year I can complete more than 1 season. Lastly, I have issues with quite a few players OVR ratings. It's not that big of a deal to me, but I'm pretty surprised at a lot of them. Either way I'll get the cards to the promised land this year. ��

Does anyone know if they fixed the morale problem this year? In 17, you would have players overalls drop dramatically if he wasn't get paid enough even though he was still in arbitration.

Morale is seemingly untouched...started up a yankee franchise and immediately stanton, judge, robertson all had negative morale due to things i cant control currently.
