Re: MLB 18 Stadium Accuracy / Feedback Thread

They had said they wanted to keep the dirt path in when they announced the move to turf last fall. But I read (I think on uniwatch) that they found it wasn’t feasible to do so. Something about converting it to other sports quickly and safely, if I recall. We have a buddy that works on the groundscrew there, I should see if we can reach out and see what the deal was.

Re: MLB 18 Stadium Accuracy / Feedback Thread

Even by accuracy/feedback thread standards this is going to be minute, but on the Oracle Park video board, the column that displays the Giants batting order should have an orange/black/white color scheme, not a black/charcoal/white one:

For some reason, MLB 18, and this morning's March To October trailer have a different color scheme that's incorrect and, in the case of the batting average portion, harder to read:

Spoiler

However, this screenshot from last week has it correct, so hopefully that's reflective of a more current build:

It was fine in MLB 17, too:

Also, good on 'em for getting all of the ads moved into their new places.

Re: MLB 18 Stadium Accuracy / Feedback Thread

The IGN video today showed the Diamondbacks without the dirt path on their infield, so it appears it has been updated.

Can confirm the Reds stadium renovations that were missing last year in RF are in 19 now.

Does anyone know if these have been removed or updated for MLB 19?

Not likely they are clearly seen in every MLB The Show 19 video that has been released.

I would love if SDS added the real stadium stats on those boards instead of just showing the team logos.

Might have to wait for PS5 for that to happen.

Yeah, ribbon boards are kind of the last big, universal undertaking for stadiums in MLB: The Show. The ones at Oracle Park are particularly rough. The in-game pitch count and auxiliary scoreboards are still of the dot-matrix variety that San Francisco hasn't used since 2006. Here's what they should look like in real life: auxiliary scoreboard, pitch count board.

Also, based on some early videos, it looks like the color scheme on the Giants video board isn't quite right again. If there's a completely new layout this season, perhaps it can be updated in-game like Colorado's was last season.
