Just because that’s happening for you doesn’t mean it’s the way it is for everyone. That’s why people can say that because they’re relating their own experience with it.

I haven’t had a single frame drop in 2 games.

Been playing since 9:30 last night and haven't had any frame rate issues whatsoever. I'm playing on a PS4 Pro, balanced mode with HDR on.

That seems to be the best setting for smoothness. It’s been really good for me and the colors look amazing.

I’m the first to bash a game if it’s not good. I have zero issue giving negative feedback when it’s deserved. But this game looks and plays better than ever. It’s close to perfect as far as what I want in a baseball game.

The Franchise mode is pretty stale however. I think they literally didn’t touch it for 2 years and just basically added a half-*** relocation feature with no decent stadium choices.

I just decide to give them the benefit of the doubt because the gameplay is top notch. And if you like DD, the content is going to be crazy this year. There are already a ton of things to do on Day 1. And ROTS is pretty fun as well. They’ve made some decent RPG tweaks to it and combining that with the real minors players (most of) that can be a really immersive experience.

If it seemed they put any effort to improve Franchise, I’d give it a 10/10. But because they haven’t, it’s gotta be a 9. That’s how good the gameplay is coming from someone who is a Franchise player at heart.

The CPU will generally pitch around you even more if he sees you chasing.

Also, the CPU will pick certain pitch types if he sees a consistent weakness. For example, throwing a specific pitch if you miss repeatedly against it. If you often swing early, he'll sometimes throw a change up (or if he doesn't have one, another off-speed gets picked). However, these rules ramp up slowly since it's quite normal to miss a particular pitch several times just by chance. There's more but it's been a long time since I've looked at the rules.
