Generally, the more stuff that can be added to the game that extends across game modes, the more chance there is that they will add to it. That's basically the way I see the game improving, certainly when it comes to franchise mode (most of which can be extended to the March to October and Road to the Show modes as well). This is also just a rough list but here goes...

Franchise stuff :
A ticker along the bottom of the menu screens telling me about games that have been played in the league and more importantly, milestones or landmarks that have been reached
Player interaction with me, the manager, that actually affects morale that actually affects on field performance, that actually affects our relationship
CPU Manager tendencies that play out with real gametime decision making - X is an impatient manager and likes to pull his starter early, Y likes to go with the metrics and play
Get rid of the generic Spring training ballparks and have a complete set of minor league parks with each team assigned one for their spring training schedule - at least more ballparks generally
Better commentary, it's like spring training never exists

Gameplay :
On replays, get rid of the "The Show" bordering the screen and make the replays more exciting - more cut angles and variety especially when going in and out of a between inning break
More interaction between pitcher and catcher whereby the catcher actually affects the pitchers ability to perform (even a rating for being better or worse at calling pitches)
Please don't make me have to press a button to get the lineups because by the time I remember it's already gone. Give me a menu option before I start to say whether I want to have to watch all that stuff or not.

Here are what I would like to see in MLB 21 the Show:

1. Player create/edit:

a) Add the names:
Brouthers, Clarkson and Sockalexis

b) Add the waxed mustache of the 1890s

c) Add the old hair style with short hair and parted in the middle

2) Franchise:

The custom teams - a vault for sharing and the ability to transfer them over from mlb 20 to mlb 21.

I second the suggestion for more old uniform types from the 1890s and early 1900s including collars on shirts.

The ability to change the number of teams, divisions etc

Also the ability to turn off reserved numbers so one can actually create themselves the stars whose numbers were preserved.
