Same, but aside from occasionally dabbling in online play, I enjoy my time in the tech tests by creating teams of realistic composition and playing vs. the CPU with them (ex. 1-2 diamond - some real-life teams have 4 or more), 2-3 gold, most starters silver, rest bronze. Gives me a better idea of what to expect from the offline mode gameplay when playing against the MLB-level teams, though I believe it's still locked to competitive rather than sim.

Because if they do this like they've done in the past, there will be multiple types of endless free packs to open, some of which which can give you lower rated players. They do usually have a pack type that is all guaranteed diamonds too.
