So I've been playing practice mode on the tech test since you can access it, and graphically it just looks crisp. Something about it just seems very clean. Player models still need some work, since they are still a little box like. And maybe it's the empty stadiums but it seems like the bat sounds are different.

One thing I noticed that is cool and I don't remember being in last year's game. Is I was batting and the pitcher three a strike right on the corner, which the umo called a strike, and the fans just starting booing loudly at the strike call. Now, since there's no commentary right now, it could be that it has been in the game but overshadowed by the announcers, but it's something I noticed

I'm sure they will remind us this isn't a final build but I very much doubt graphics will change much if any before release. It's embarrassing how little attention they have given to the visuals, not to mention franchise mode.

            Well…..hmmmm. I know we’ve been told this isn’t the final build, but…

“See the game in 4K”. It looks zero different as to what I have on the PS5 with a great QLED t.v. Was expecting to be wowed just a bit.

Tried fielding practice. I’m an auto field/manual throw player, but must say the manual fielding is quite responsive.

So we can play created stadiums at night. Well, with the great stadiums I have, 30 of them, I’m okay playing day games.

I’m going to have to wait until further along to see how gameplay and, in particular, presentation has been updated before I truly commit.

I did see a SDS created CAP (pitcher) and seems nothing has been updated in that regard. Another cartoon looking face.

            Holding pattern right now.

Two things I noticed in my brief time with the tech test so far. One, the broadcast cameras are much improved. It's a different angle and in my opinion, makes everything feel fresh. And 2nd, the graphics to me look much more sharp, and the crowd has been greatly improved.

I believe the offline practice/explore mode is available to play once download, but the online server test doesnt start till tomorrow

They're playing offline, in either practice mode or Options Explorer (which can shift into a full game experience, albeit with limited presentation elements)

Switch version might not be playable yet, if it blocks you before even opening the game - saw a post regarding that in the big DD thread.

The gameplay is what will always keep me coming back to the show, but this game is in need of a serious facelift. Hopefully some of that will come with the commentary and presentation upgrades.

Quick observations. The crowd sound definitely seems improved. I was glad to see the computers offense seems to have more of a punch this year. Gameplay is still solid and fluid. But I can't escape the feeling of this being the same game over the last 3 to 4 years, and essentially being a PS4 game you can play on PS5.

                          Noticed this as well.

Wonder if that momentum meter thing on the score bug has any influence over the crowd.

The Switch version told me it’s not allowed to be played yet, so it won’t even open the game. The other versions let you do offline stuff right now.

I really like the new scorebug. Can't wait till my gamertag isn't plastered all over the screen [emoji23]

I'm not sure what the bar is in the scorebug, but I don't believe its a momentum thing. I'm playing as the Braves and gave up 3 straight 2 out singles and a run and the dot moved towards me.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
