Why is this coming out now, when the season is nearly over? It seems like the biggest audience for this mod would be around spring training. I seem to remember other versions coming out well after the season started as well.
Considering how long it takes to make each mod, I don't think they'll be making another one anytime soon before the next season begins. So this mod would be really useful with some updated rosters and etc.

Re: MVP 14 Total Conversion Mod!!!!

Someone wanted me to make a roster (before I put the most updated one out) of how I thought the teams would look at the start of Spring training next year! Hehe....can you imagine the research that would take and probably how wrong it would be anyway?? Oh, those crazy baseball fans.

Also, a new CPU v CPU roster set will probably be released a little later which reflects current season ending injuries, unless I missed some over the past few days.

Price: $1,999.99

Yep..... can't believe there are too many Xbox players left. I just sold my Xbox copy for .99 on ebay.

Re: MVP 14 Total Conversion Mod!!!!

got a copy off of Ebay, a bit pricey as there was a few bidders but well worth it, with all the hardwork and mods you guys do over there, I should be getting it by Friday.

Daflyboys, I tried to find a thread on MVPMods but I couldn't find one, so I'll ask it here as I'm waiting to be approved.

is it possible to run an XP copy in a virtual machine and run the game? just curious to see if it would enhance or degrade the experience.

thanks

Re: MVP 14 Total Conversion Mod!!!!

What's an XP copy? Are you talking about making a legal backup and then running off of that? If you're worried about running your original disc and wearing it down, that won't happen. The disc is only needed to boot the game, not run it.

If I'm not in the ballpark (get it?), just PM me.

Re: MVP 14 Total Conversion Mod!!!!

thanks for the quick reply and yeah I get it

what I meant was I still have my Windows XP discs and I was thinking of maybe installing that operating system on my current machine and trying to run MVP that way, and I hadn't thought of backing up the MVP disc, it wouldn't feel right if I did that.

appreciate the time.

Re: MVP 14 Total Conversion Mod!!!!

Backing up a disc you own of any program is totally legal as long as you don't sell it.

Ya, XP definitely seems smoother with MVP, but I've had little hiccups with W7-64bit. As long as you don't have an integrated vid card, you're a step ahead. Other guys have had more struggles, but have been able to get around them. Also, it seems like newer, more powerful rigs and vid cards actually struggle more to run the game. Go figure.
