Random Input Lag during online play?

At certain points during the game I will just suffering from 2-3 second input lag where I'll press a button but the game wont recognize it . It usually happens when Im winning and seems to be momentum based cause it will stop as soon as the other person catches up. Its not my TV or my connection so i think 2k put this in the game on purpose

This is the same problem I'm having. Most of the time it's the whole game or it comes and goes. Everything from moving, passing and shooting is late. Open dunks or layups get blocked because the animations are super slow when this happens.

Same exact issues you guys have i have them, too!!!

And a lot of the players in our league started to feel that right after patch 4 as well.
The delays and input lags are awful at this point. You don't know when it will artive comes and goes randomly or thru a full quarter or half or sometimes full game. But mostly 3rd and 4th quarters always have input lag or delay of some sort!!
      It's horrendous!

Yeah me and my friends are having this exact problem. It seems to happen every other game. 2k needs to address this asap

It's not online lag, it's 2k in general. It's done to help the other team catch up. Therefore if the game decides it wants to give the other team a run there will be delays in dribbling, delays in passing which lead to a subsequent 360 turn before the pass and a floating slow motion traveling ball. All the passes will also be lead towards the paint so you can get a turnover. When the other team is running on the break your block button is going to be delayed. Or if you press A (switch player) to stop the break the player selected will be the wrong one. Teleporting or magnetic D will also be a problem. Launches after jab steps will be delayed, auto hesis will occur, your players will turn cold whenever you seem to a have a clear lane or dunk. Things which you have no control over will happen, your blood pressure will rise. Call a time-out and or make adjustments your rhyth should come back.

Please point out to the location in which I mention comeback code. I mentioned momentum which has already been confirmed

You didn't say the exact words, but you definitely implied it.

In so many words...you're basically saying that the game INTENTIONALLY handicaps your button presses in order for the other team to catch up (aka comeback). Bullsh*t....

Input lag is caused by a of lot things, but it's definitely not something programmed into the game to allow a team to catch up.

Actually it is, and if you can't see it you must not know how the game works and therefore can't get W's. How about you help out the community with advice on how to combat momentum shifts instead of saying "Deal with it, it's you not the game"

And here's a thread where this topic has been beaten to death AND MIKE WANG spoke on the topic.

So, you're going to tell me the Game Director doesn't know his own game when it comes to the programming aspect?

According to beluba on that thread, he wrote "If you're seeing wild momentum swings and blown leads either offline or online, Czar gave the best advice at the start of this thread... you need to adjust your game."

I remember back in 2k14 during 2k's live-streams. Ronnie would constantly mention how the game was not competitive as the game would allow players who are down to catch up. His words were "the game is 50/50 and we're removing that." And that it's being fixed to make the game competitive once again.

And that's what people have been saying since above thread was created then locked. Input lag is caused by other things, but it's definitely NOT coding to help the other team to catch up.

There's are so many variables that can cause input lag, that it's hard to determine the root problem. Something as simple as low batteries can cause input lag. Personally, if I have input lag, 95% of the time I blame it on the internet connection between me and my opponent.

How about offline input lag? Rember 2k14's cold/hot handling streaks? When you had a cold handling ring, everything was delayed. Hot handling resulted in smoother dribbling. Why do those same sluggish movements appear if I'm on a bad side of a run, but dissapear after I call a Timeout and make adjustments. Players do get in and out of playmaking or defensive rhytm, it was introduced in 2k14

                              It gets really bad sometimes.....

I only really notice is when I'm playing in a mode like Pro Am or Park where I'm locked onto one player and can't switch my guy..

Suddenly I can't get back on d or I'm running extremely slow in the wrong direction. Never seen anything like it before.
I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.
