Hot spot glitch

Alright so after a few months of playing this game I made my second player. Only to find out about the hot spot glitch (I had all my hot spots, once I made the new player my old/good player lost all of his). My question is which player do I need to play my career games to get the hotspots back on my old player? My new player or my old player?

Every since I heard about the hotspot glitch.....

Whenever I feel like switching between my players, .... I exit the current player I've been using, then I'll load something else 1st (I load a "my league " file) then exit out, and then I load the player I want to switch 2.... maybe it's needed, maybe it's not....but by doing that method, I've never lost any hotspots.
