Some Youtubers Help Ruin 2K

[REEality]

All I see all over youtube;

• is how to exploit
• glitch (well they are the same)
• how you get easy achievements/accomplishments
• which shots to use
• what builds everyone should use

• what iso moves everyone should use

To me, that just ruins the experience. You play the same types of playstyles because of this.

I can't blame the youtubers who do this fully as the community members who follow the trends are just as guilty.

You get into games at the park or Proam, and guys are all using the exact same formula to win, glass cleaner high screen, playmaker spamming step back dribble move and sharps running the high screens to get open. There's just no depth to gameplay because of this.

I never understood why people get so triggered about this stuff. 2k makes some of the animations better than others, who cares?

It's not the youtubers fault, if you want someone to blame, blame 2k for not fixing it. You saw people cheesing dribble moves this year which is why they thankfully fixed and revamped dribbling in 2k18.

If nobody exploits it, nobody's gonna fix it either

I hate it. It sucks for every mode except park and pro am. Some people who are great shooters IRL are trash because of their jump shot. Not to mention the slow jumpers they give to people. Dennis Schroeder comes to mind, he has a 90 mid range and 88 or so off dribble but his animations are so trash he can't even shoot without getting contested.

That's just my two cents anyway.

Same with Kevin Garnett. They should just make every single release speed the same no matter how the jump shot looks. That way, shooting would be solely dependent on attributes rather than your jump shot animation itself

In addition, it's a videogame. There will ALWAYS be exploits. You can't blame the company for people playing in a way that exploits it. It's like the crazy nano blitz in Madden some years back. The game wasn't designed to handle that. A bunch of people see the exploit and start using it. Ruining the online experience for others. Then the company patches it, which ruins the experience others were having. So on and so forth... Some of these YouTubers in all these games ultimately make them worse in the long haul.

It doesn't matter. They are the easiest to beat. If you know how to play and know basketball, you shouldn't have to worry about these people. You can figure out how they play by the 1st quarter. They play one way and if they start losing they quit or keep playing the same way. No adjustments. When I see guys like this I salivate. Easy work.

Do I agree with it? No. But at least this way, 2k knows which animations are cheesy so that they can fix it. I personally play with a slasher and I only equipped dunk animations that are hard to block. I guess i'm a cheeser now. I don't have a sharpshooter, but if I did i would look for a good animation instead of some whack *** animation that's hard to time.

I hope I don't come off sounding like i'm defending the cheesers, because I probably hate them as much as you do. But saying that it's YouTubes fault for pointing out the best animations you can equipped to your players is just nonsense

The devs are at fault, but because it's in the game does that mean you should use it? When it's not intentionally in the game? The level of ignorance in the community is shaming. People who defend the exploitation are even worst than those who exploit.

I find it weird how, "its part of the game" is the response for some. But if it's apart of the game, why are patches released to remove these things? Why are they removed in the next release of the game?

Nah man, I get all that. The thing is, after playing for years, I've learned to not "hate" the cheese, just tolerate. I never insinuated you to be a cheeser, because you use favorable animations. That's only smart and effective. My only disagreement with you stemmed from your rather favorable comments towards the intentions of the Youtubers. I got no problems with you, bro.
