Anyone here playing NBA 2K on PC?
I have always played NBA 2K on the console (PS4) and I am considering switching to PC this year. I don't play MyPark so the lower player base isn't a concern. What I am interested in is if the PC version is up to par with the console version in terms of optimization etc. Both versions are identical, right? Does it run well? I have a RX 480 and i5 4670k, so this should work out ok I think.Tags: None -

There's actually a PC section for 2K so you may have more joy in those forums.
But while I'm here, I'm a PC guy strictly. I just max it out when I get it. Looks amazing (1440p). 4K would be porn.
I love sitting up next to a 27" monitor when playing aswell. I feel more plugged into the game.
Feels like the controller is more responsive aswell - something I didn't notice till I went back to console and sat at a distance. -

Re: Anyone here playing NBA 2K on PC?
I've played on PC since 2k13, and find the experience much better as an offline player.
The modding community is pretty awesome, especially when they figured out how to change the score bug to give broadcast packages instead of the 2k Sports Network.
Patches are generally a little slower to release on PC, though.

Re: Anyone here playing NBA 2K on PC?
I'm actually contemplating on going back to pc for 2k18. I used to do a lot of mods, especially during 2k13. The lack of cap options is just killing me, hopefully the pc version is easy to mod this year.Twitter: https://twitter.com/RapboYGT

Re: Anyone here playing NBA 2K on PC?
Need to be able to pre-download on Wednesday to be able to play on release day (Australia, PC).
I hate that I pre-order for the Friday release and didn't get to play til Sunday last year.
2K16 unlocked for pre-download on Wednesday but had all sorts of issues on PC - Leftos was running around like made trying to suggest ways to play it.
2K17 unlocked on the Friday so I just sat there on Friday night after work blankly staring at 33% turn into 34% at 11pm...... FML.
Hoping 2K18 is a Wednesday unlock just so I can actually enjoy the pre-order release date like everyone else.
It's all I'm thinking about this week now haha.....Comment

I'm going back to PC, the CAP this year is too bad. On PC I'll be able to mod my draft classes, so players will have cyberfaces and tattoos.Comment

2K17 was poorly optimized. 16 and 15 ran a good 60 frames with my 970, but I range in the low 50s/high 40s in 17. Hopefully, they fix it this time around.Comment
