IN MEMORY of OS MEMBER DEATHSTRYK Trifecta 2k14(Xbox360)

IN MEMORY of OS Member Deathstryk(Che Shannon)

    RETIRED US NAVY

OK I am putting this in BOLD , because I am tired of getting PMs and Xbox Live messages. THE Players in Free Agent pool are Rated 25 Overall because I DIDNT have time to edit them. I am not leaving them with 2k's Ratings as they WOULDNT mesh with the players I have Edited.

We would like to thank everyone who enjoyed playing our roster set last year. Thanks to you, the community, Trifecta 2K13 was one of if not the most popular 360 roster set of the entire year. Now we are proud to bring to you Trifecta 2K14.

Trifecta 2K14 is roster set, slider set and draft class set that is intended to played in Association mode. This is the biggest and largest roster set created for the 360.

Now to new users for the first time and our faithful and loyal followers and fan base there are a few things you should know about this roster set and the teams ultimate goal. First, following the initial release of Trifecta 2K14 there will be no weekly or monthly updated like last year. Instead Trifecta will have 5 scheduled updates through the entire season. As stated above this is an Association mode roster set and weekly or monthly updates means constantly restarting your association when those weekly or monthly updates are released and that doesnt allow anyone to fully experience the depth of Trifecta. With that being said following the initial release the update schedule for Trifecta is...

The reason Trifecta 2K14 is following these dates is because our team spends countless hours editing that this year we feel we deserve to play and experience our work the way we want you all to play and expierence it.

Trifecta has two goals in which are the heart and sole of the set...Gameplay and Accuracy. The feedback that we get from community members testing the demos provides great insight and feedback allows us to focus on areas that still need to be tweaked a little to achieve maximum Gameplay. Along side the best Gameplay experience last year, Trifecta was also highly known for its accuracy to its roster set and coaching staffs (after the release of the Reditor MC). This year accuracy to the roster set has never been more needed as with the addition to 14 Euro teams that users can play with it took extensive researching along with trial and error but in the end a way was found to include all players from the Euro teams to be added to the roster set in free agency along with the 2013 2nd round draft picks, draft picks from 2K13 and a huge group of additional free agents that were hidden on the game disc that Trifecta can very well have an initial release with a free agent pool numbering around 300-400 players, but the goal was to be accurate and we spared no limitations on being able to provide that once again for everyone.

Re: Trifecta 2k14 Project (XBOX 360)

First, I'd like to welcome back those who helped out on the project last year and am glad that they are officially on board and also want to welcome the new members to this years team. I'm sure that each and every one of you will make a great addition and also strive to continue to help us bring out the best that this game could be. Keep checking back as I will be shortly outlining and putting up information in regards to the Association Reference Guide.

Like last year, accessories, shoes....those aren't a focus of ours and have little to do with gameplay. Those of you who enjoy those little additions are free to edit them yourselves once we release the roster set.

        Players Who Can Veto Trades
No-trade clauses are rare in the NBA. Only four of the most decorated players have them — Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett and Dirk Nowitzki. Garnett retains his no-trade power even though he waived it this summer to facilitate his move to the Nets. It’s much more common that a player will gain a de-facto no-trade clause through a quirk in the league’s collective bargaining agreement.
Bird rights, Early Bird rights and Non-Bird rights are all mechanisms that allow teams to go above the salary cap to retain their own players. Trades usually have no effect on those rights, but that’s not the case with players on one-year contracts. A team that acquires a player on a one-year deal via trade can’t use any form of Bird rights to re-sign that player the following offseason. The player often stands to lose financially in such a case, so the NBA allows players on one-year contracts to block trades. Despite this, some players allow trades to go through anyway, as Marreese Speights did last year when the Grizzlies sent him to the Cavaliers.
The no-trade rule includes players signed to two-year deals that include a team or player option on the final year. For the purposes of the no-trade rule, option seasons don’t count until they’re exercised, and options on non-rookie scale contracts generally aren’t exercised until the end of the season, well past the trade deadline.
Clubs retain Bird rights on players they re-sign even if they had renounced their rights before re-signing them. In other words, a player’s “Bird clock” doesn’t reset if a team renounces his rights, as long as he re-signs with that team. For instance, Jannero Pargo spent last season with the Bobcats, who renounced his rights this past summer before signing him to a new one-year contract. Pargo will be eligible for Early Bird rights next offseason, even though the Bobcats renounced his non-Bird rights this summer. So, the ‘Cats would need his consent to trade him this year.
Similarly, the Mavericks waived Bernard James this summer and re-signed him, but, just as with Pargo, his “Bird clock” did not reset, so the Mavs can’t trade James and his new one-year contract without consent.
This rule is also one reason why teams will often tack a non-guaranteed season onto the contract of an end-of-the-bench player they sign at midseason. Partial seasons count toward Bird eligibility just as much as full seasons do. Also, non-guaranteed seasons don’t function like option seasons, so their existence doesn’t invoke the trade-consent rule.
One additional note: No player signed this offseason can be traded until December 15th, at the earliest.
Here’s a team-by-team breakdown of players who can block trades this season:

                  New Sliders:

Played variety of games with demo teams.
LAL @ GS, LAL @ PHI
GS @ CHI, GS @ PHI

                  -Scoring up per QTR (9%)

-Good Solid Mesh of Early and Late Shots up in the shot clock

-Defensive Awareness - Box outs, double teams and rotations back, CPU contest shots,

-Offensive Awareness: Back doors more, cuts more, pass out double team, bigs getting involved (teams with bigs), open players will shoot when open regardless of shot clock.

                  -FG% VERY GOOD!

-Fast Breaks, variety of turnovers, good fouls contrast and no calls

-Good mesh on shot contact fouls and AND1's, Good amount of reaching and blocking foul calls, Good drives vs jump shots

-3pt shooters shoot and 3pt shooting teams (GS) shoot 3's at good rate

-Love the speed change for game pace as apposed to 45
-Hot players will get ball, Offense and Defense both exploit match-ups on CPU side. Bigs with little men on them get posted quick, and guards with bigs will go to the hole.

                  * Offensive charging fouls - NON-Existent, Occassional CPU dribbling out of bound or over and back at half court, but looking at turnovers, nothing at all big

I'd like to test the following teams:
NYK (3pt shooting and up and down pace)
SA and IND (Perimeter and post Defense)
                  OKC (Up and down pace)
                  MIN (Outside to Inside team)
DET (To see youth and turnovers and post play on both side.

These new sliders also tested with 2 other rosters. SAME RESULTS!
                  NICE!!!!! Nice work Guys

                    points to game:

Doubled in 1st half, 2nd half Turned Kobe to jump shooter
CPU(LAL) did same to curry who was off. But A.I. hit every shot but his 3's...lol. Gasol and Hill was a handful on boards. Made their outside shooters inept all game, guarding parameter. In the end after Curry tied game with 13 seconds left, Kobe went to bottom corner of a pick from gasol, then off another pick from Hill to go up for open layup. Klay Thompson threw inbound, Curry of pick at key and was blocked by Gasol. Damn!

Inside game stats: GS-- 19 points off turnovers!, 12 Fast break points

Re: Trifecta 2k14 Project (XBOX 360)

I didn't get a chance to record my stats for the first game I played with the Oct 18th Demo so I'll just elaborate on how great this game actually was.

                      Bulls (CPU) vs Warriors (USER)

I came into this game thinking I had to weaken Chicago's interior defense with great outside shooting if I wanted ANY points in the paint. This worked to open the game. Curry, Barnes and Thompson all started off 3/5 with no one under 6 points. Curry buried back to back 3's in Rose's face to force Chicago's first timeout. With Rose on lock down, getting 4 of his first 5 shots rejected, the Bulls found themselves in a 33-20 hole at the end of 1. So far, so good. The 2nd quarter comes around and Rose begins doing his best Steph Curry impersonation and knocks down back to back treys as he begins to find his jumper. Of course as they always do, shots begin to not fall, Chicago's defense tightens and the Bulls go on a 12-4 tear in the middle of the quarter. Both teams battle on the defensive side of the ball until the half, Warriors still with a nice advantage. 54-47 at the half.

Now if anyone watches Warriors games they know that the 3rd quarter is simply "Curry Time." Being a diehard, I come into the quarter with this mindset. Boy does it ever backfire. Because of Curry's 16 1st half points, Chicago INSTANTLY brings the double on Curry as soon as he passes half court leading to a few easy steals and gimme fast breaks for the Bulls. Chicago ties the game at 60 halfway through the quarter. It was clear that the CPU's defensive plan was to shut down Steph Curry and force Klay or Iggy to handle the play making and it worked to a T. This was AMAZING to see; the CPU actually recognizing where you're killing them and adjusting... effectively might I add. After a couple big 3's from Thompson to end the quarter, I was back up on top but nothing compared to what my lead was... Warriors lead 71-68 at the end of 3.

The 4th quarter sounds and we're off to a place we like to call RoseLand... with just 14 points in the first 3 quarters, Rose scored half of that in the first two minutes of the final quarter, dropping 7 quick points to the Warriors' 1 to take a four point lead for the Bulls. Following the timeout, I sat David Lee on the bench and subbed in Jermaine O'Neal for interior defense. This is what we call a good substitution! O'Neal rejects Rose at the rim on the very next possession for Chicago. The block lead to an easy two handed jam for Iggy the other way. I stayed with O'Neal/Speights and Bogut/Ezeli for the remainder of the game because Lee was rendered virtually ineffective thanks to Joakim Noah and we needed the presence inside. This game would come down to two big shots from both team's Point Guards... 35 seconds left, 95 all, Bulls ball. Hinrich brings the ball up court and calls an Iso play for Derrick Rose, Rose receives the ball and begins to size his defender up (Kent Bazemore at this point) After a nice hesitation step back, Rose buries the mid range jumper in KB20's FACE! Bulls up 2, 10 seconds to go, Timeout: Golden State.

I knew who I was looking to, it was no doubt in my mind that Steph Curry was getting the ball and I think the CPU knew this. I went with a shooter's lineup of: Curry, Thompson, Barnes, Lee and Speights namely because everyone can hit a mid range jumper and the final 3 in the rotation (Barnes, Lee and Speights) can finish at the rim through contact. Timeout is over and the ball is inbounded. Thompson receives the ball and hands it off to Curry. Curry isolates the top of the key, calls for a Pick and Pop from David Lee... screen set to perfection, Curry gets an open look from deep. BANG. Warriors lead 98-97 with just over 1 second remaining, no timeouts left. Full court heave from DRose NO GOOD. Warriors win 98-97

Overall, this is the best game I have played since purchasing NBA 2K14 and its not even close. Mind you, I don't JUST mean this is the most fun game I've played (though it is) every player played so true to themselves as did the teams. Chicago's defense was really obvious versus playing against the Lakers' defense. I can't wait to get another game going.

EDIT: I forgot that I edited the following sliders before playing this game and I loved the results

                      Mid Range: 47 / 49
                      3PT: 47 / 49

                      On-Ball Defense: 60 / 55 (may up to 57-58 for next game)
                      Blocking: 45 / 75
                      Defensive Awareness: 95 / 100

                      Shooting Foul: 90 / 85

If the Rosters are anything like last year's, any adjustments to Accessories or Sig Shots might cause the file to be Corrupted. My man, always looking out for the '2k-Share-Only's.
