potential for fans to run 2k into the ground

We must ask ourselves what do we want in a basketball game? We want something that simulates REAL LIFE. We want something that gives us the reality that we're all NBA stars, and ready for the NBA dream.

But I have a question....... If we want real life basketball, wouldn't that mean our actually skill and knowledge of the game come in handy? Since these things are the most important in a video game as well as real basketball, we should assume that the person with the most skill and knowledge will likely come out on top. Since there has to be a loser there has to be a complainer. Somebody who's skill obviously isn't up to par with the person he lost to. Have you ever caught yourself losing and blaming the other players off ball d? Or how he had a dunkfest with lebron all game. If someone can stop it, just like they stopped you, why can't you stop it? I think I speak for all the real gamers who have put there time in studying this game when I tell you your just making excuses.

Theres no cheese in 2k12. Zero. People on this forum are like magicians and Im here to prove them wrong. I would like anyone to challenge me and tell me something cheesy in this game.

100 bucks says OP abused the spin-dunk move in 2K11.

Actually after losing to multiple spin Dunkers I found a way to stop it , like everything else in this game once you study it , you'll understand that there is no cheese . Simply press the charge button at the right time and he will spin himself into a charge .

Spin dunk cheese = debunked , no cheese

It's true most people love to complain about their opponent or even the cpu because they don't know what they are doing. They are forcing something or not making the right play. I've played plenty of people who dont know the value of the open shot or drive into two defenders and wonder why their shot didn't go in. However, there is cheese in 2k12. A ton of it. Most of the effective moves in this game are pretty cheesy if you ask me like th constant abuse of up n unders when the defender doesnt even leave his feet. There might be ways to master this game and minimize cheese, but most people do not play that way. The Cpu doesnt even play cheese free on the lowest difficulties. So I can't agree that there's no cheese but maybe there's ways to perfect your skill on this game and not abuse it's exploits. I did that in 2K11 but 2K12 was never worth putting that much time into.

I agree with you 100%. The majority of times that people call someone cheesy is because they are just getting beat and don't know how to stop it. With that said, there is definitely cheesy things in the game.

I agree with you 100% OP. I have always been skilled in basketball games because I am knowledgeable of the game & 2K12 has been one of the first games to where it seems as if playing smart ball trumps the cheesing.

i personally hate in game complainers myself too. i don't cheese myself, **** the spin dunk and hop step, but it still gets on my nerves hearing others make excuses. at least half the losers are sore ones. instead of trying to figure out what they did wrong, and acknowleging what you did right, they just look at what they perceived you did wrong. only thing worth complaining about is crew not being in the game.

There are tons of cheesy moves... Up and unders, broken animstions in the paint without contact, etc.

                            bingo. /end thread

there is no counter to the up and under, the animation continues whether contact is made or not.

meh, put it in the wishlist. If you have a problem with game exploits, the real problem lies with the game not the user. But overall 2k12 has been a pretty good as far as not too many exploits. As far as something being cheese or not, I take it a step further. Just because something can be countered, doesn't make it legit. Like playing FC press to combat some exploit -- it's just as bad. Something should need to be realistically countered for it not to be considered cheese, etc.
