    NHL 2K on XENIA and RPCS3 [emulators, xbox360, ps3]

    Hello everyone!

Has anyone tried playing NHL2k hockey on emulators: XENIA or RPCS3 ??
How do you like it? frame rate stable?

There are several videos on youtube ...

I want to try it too, but the problem is that I can’t download the game on XBOX360 or PS3, there are no broken links or seeds on the distributions. Can anyone help ?? Maybe someone has links to distributions? Share please! Thanks in advance!

I have an image of NHL 2k10 for XBOX360, we can work something out, PM me.

There is an issue where it cannot create a saved game (user profile), would it be possible for you to extract the User.USR, Settings.STG and Roster.ROS files from your XBOX 360 and attach them here? This does two things for me, it lets me know you actually have (or at least did have at one time) the game, and it will let me get past the start menu.

That said, on my 10th gen i7 with an RTX 2070 and 16GB DDR2900, the game runs at a fluctuating but typically smooth 30fps when I let the demo mode play.

Xenia is kinda known for having a broken save feature.

Ya, but you can still run the game, without saving. Just keep pressing the button, when it asks for saving.

The problem I'm having is that it won't progress past trying to create a user profile, it fails and just automatically keeps trying.

I read that this is likely a regression so I think it might have worked in a previous version.

I might try an older version to see if I can get a save working then back that up.

EDIT: I'm an idiot, i did just have to let it fail three times as it was trying to autosave three different things.

Anybody here found some image for RPCS3?
I just discovered NHL 2k10 and I think is one of the best hockey game.

I know somebody asked a similar question but does anybody have a PS3 iso for NHL 2K10? I've looked everywhere and there seems to be no working links.

I'd be careful. Technically, you can't talk about that stuff on OS.

Gotcha, sorry. I just really want to play 2K10 and I'm not willing to spend 30+ dollars on it.

Or you can look at it like me. I haven't spent $60/year on EA NHL since 2010, ergo, I've saved $600.

Finally found an ISO for NHL 2K10 on PS3. It works really well so far, minus a few graphical glitches (mostly in the menus) and the game not running at full speed (about 55 fps). I was surprised to hear no audio stretch however.

Basically, it needs a bit more polish but it's otherwise flawless. I'm using RPCS3 0.0.13-11325-08927589 Alpha (the latest version) and my specs are a GTX 1050ti and an i5 4570 so it could run even better on better hardware.

I had a little time to spear and I dumped my NHL2K10 from my PS3 and tested it in RPCS3 and I'm really surprised at how well it runs.

As you've said the menus have some small graphical glitches but I have stable 60fps in game without really optimizing any settings at all.

If anyone is curious, NHL2k10 runs really nicely on RPCS3.

That said, I have a video series of a franchise that I'm working on, and I have one of it running at 4k.

The game runs butter smooth if you are playing with one of the vertical camera options, but I play side view, and it tends to result in some frame drops when in the neutral zone. The frame rate can drop during cutscenes as well.

                            I play 90% of my NHL 2K10 and NHL 2K8 through RPCS3.

2k10 suffers from a bit of stutter and lag this is down to the way it compiles shaders so even at 60fps this happens. 2k8 runs flawlessly on any resolution or settings. The trick is the slowly adjust settings for your PC specs.

The latest update for RPCS3 broke my NHL 2K10 but playing on the global profile has given me a 10% performance boost on default settings. I typically play default res and push textures up.

                            I'm on a 7700k, 16gb ddr4 and 1080ti.

I'm a side camera man and I think you're right because the game renders less crowd, shadows and textures on vertical view. Looks like I found your video a while back and commented on it

I know it's been forever, I hope I replied, I hate missing comments.

I upgraded my laptop again and via a bunch of rpcs3 updates 2k10 ru s amazingly minus a few instances of frame jitters.

2k8 on the other hand is strange. Runs absolutely perfect except when I'm back in my own zone if facing up and then drops to just low enough to feel stuttery, think 45-55fps.

That said, I'm using the native frame rate cap (this works amazing in 2k7 btw) which sorts out the cutscenes running too fast, so I might play with that a bit.
