Re: Steam massive Xmas sale

Anyone ever play the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games? always wanted to check them out.

Also since I'm new to PC gaming with a laptop that can play decent stuff I'm looking for a list of maybe 8-10 games that I should look into. Not stuff like Borderlands, BC2 etc. Games that are really PC specific or that are just much better to play on the PC.

I already have
Mass Effect 1 & 2
Fallout 3 & New Vegas
Dragon Age

thanks for any suggestions!!!

You seem to like RPGs, The Wither is very good, and well worth the $5 price point!

Re: Steam massive Xmas sale

Ok, I know this is a bit off-topic, but anyone here can PM me (so we don't hijack the thread) info on the best software to use on a Mac to play PC games? I've seen some but if anyone has experience with any, it would help. And I'm done hijacking.

You buy digital copies of PC games and install them directly to your HD.(simplified explanation)

This well definitely motivate me to play through it, since the sequel coming out late next year looks AMAZING!

I want the Crysis and Crysis Warhead to be cheaper, I hope they do a $5 one day sale on them, that is another boxed game (I have Crysis Maximum) that I want on my Steam lists.
Agreed with all of this. Can't wait to really get into The Witcher, but with all these holiday sales, I've got a backlog of something like 25 games right now. Crap.

I'd also love to have Crysis on Steam as opposed to on disc.

But yeah that pretty much sums it up. You sign up for an account on Steam, then download the Steam program onto your computer. It basically acts as a download client and it's where you access/download/install/run your games from. Very convenient. No physical copies of games, it's all digital. The games are tied to your Steam account, not your computer. So if you ever bought a new PC or upgrade it, all you'd really have to do is reinstall Steam and redownload/install the games, I think. It's pretty cool and I like it for the convenience.
