COD 4: Modern Warfare - Remastered

I thought this needed it's own thread as to not clutter the IW thread.

Anyways IW has confirmed 5 of the 10 maps that will be included, they are:


Crash
Overgrown
Crossfire
Backlot
Bog


Now we can all assume that Shipment, and Vacant will be in, which leaves 3 openings. If I were a betting man I'd say District, Ambush, and Strike would be the others. I'd personally like to see Showdown or Countdown instead of Strike.

Crash was probably my favorite.

Was the Rooftop map from COD: MW?

The first Modern Warfare was my favorite one, online. Beyond excited to see its getting the remastered treatment.

Well they be selling DLC with it? Are they selling it full price at $60. If they did refreshes of the older ones, is honestly bite. Feel of the yearly bandwagon a while ago but this definitely would get me back.

I'd rather have Creek, Pipeline, Chinatown, or Wet Work instead of District.

The shipment map. LOL. I remember having a grenade launcher(ie Noob Tube) with a 3 grenade perk. As soon as the game started I launched a grenade in every corner and get 3 or 4 kills right away. then I'd run and lay in a container, get a couple quick kills and the helicopter would come out and everyone ran for cover and I'd plow them down as they tried to run into the container. I can't remember how long those games lasted but I'd get between 100 and 150 kills each time. Carnage.

Crash remains one of my favorite maps of all-time, it's so fun.

I don't want to buy Infinite Warfare because I think it will be beyond bad but I may buy it just so I can only play MW remastered MP.

Any idea when they reveal the last 5 maps? I swear, if Shipment, District, Vacant, and Showdown aren't among them, I'll riot. What they should do is name 9 maps and have a community vote for the 10th.

Ugh this is so shady to me. I don't want the buy the new COD just to play a few maps from COD 4. Just remaster the whole damn game.

They're trying to skirt by having to pay royalties and licensing fees to the District, the Ambush, the Showdo.......

Yeah I really have no idea.

The project manager probably asked the level guy if he could get them all done in time for release, and when the guy said he could only get ten done he's like, "Ehh, that's good enough. Wrap a bow around it, we're [digitally] shipping!"

So in addition to having to buy the new COD you also have to buy one of the more expensive versions right? I thought I saw one was like $80 and the other $100 or $120. I have no interest in the new one and don't think I'm willing to pay $80 for a remastered version with 10 maps. As much as I loved COD4 I'm not feeling it for that price.

I still remember where I would go on a handful of the maps when playing hardcore search and destroy and I haven't played it in 7 years. Did anyone else lay on top of the sleeping bag near the spawn on Creek and repeatedly tap the switch gun button? Loaded up on kills with that.
