i am really enjoying the "historical exhibition" mode. matching up teams from different eras is just awesome - especially for a length of time (series) that goes 2-2-1-1-1 (as in who hosts the games).

I've replayed the 2015 world series with my Mets three times, still lose. LOL.

This mode is a great addition to the series.

i have a buddy who's a huge tigers fan ...

so i pitted the 2006 tigers against the 2011 brewers and my brewers came out on top in 7 games - prince fielder was his typical postseason self until he hit two BOMBS in game 7 which ended 10-4.

i am really enjoying the 3D view while playing as well - it's well tuned besides the known, early bugs.

They took the world series in my first two single season simulations. 4-2 over the Mets and 4-3 over the Nationals in the second season one sim.

I've been getting this game for years and this version is incredible. I will probably play it more this year than any other year. I am just throughly impressed.

Am thinking of buying this, as it is only $39.59 Canadian on Steam, until March 29....
My main questions before I do so are:

1. Do we get daily or weekly roster updates, transactions etc. automatically done for us ?
2. If not, is it possible to switch players or trade players from one team to another ?
(I prefer playing with accurate rosters)
3. Are players created by OOTP as the season progresses ? (ie..Rookies...after playing in an MLB game)

You don't get regular updates but there is an editor that allows you you switch players over if trades are made. In years past opening day rosters were it. I made my own post deadline rosters last year but there was an official update released later on. Either way you can edit the rosters.

The player database is huge so there's a pretty good chance a potential rookie is already there.

Quick question for you all, I have never purchased OOTP before but wondered how this worked. When you purchase, are you able to save it to a thumb drive to be able to play on any PC?

Bought and not disappointed at all. The 3D engine puts it above Football Manager for me right now

Unfortunately my game crashed so I lost my 4-1 start to the season But on the flipside I forgot to adjust my scouting/development budgets so its probably for the best.
