I believe you get two licenses, so that would mean you can install and play on two different computers.

Sounds like buying through steam might be a bit different.

If you buy it through steam you can just connect your steam account to multiple computers

Not sure if you can transfer saves though (based on my past experiences in leagues though it rather easy to export files so you must be able to)

Above FM? That's really high praise. My son's been sick so I haven't had time to get in the game yet. Hoping so soon.

Does the game come with minor league player face gens?

The player database is huge so there's a pretty good chance a potential rookie is already there.
Thanks for that information, Perceptor !
On the OOTP 17 Forum...I was told that roster updates were made 20 times last year, whenever any type of update was made available

As someone who is new at this game, how do you all play the game? Do you go game-by-game or do you simulate a lot? Do you manage each game?

Also, is there a good guide for newcomers that anyone recommends? The contract stuff in the game is pretty complicated.

Really enjoying just watching games play out in 3D. I'm going to probably wait for a couple patches before I start up some games where I actually run a team, but I can already tell that this game is fantastic.

The game is fantastic. I think it's better than the Show 16 (and I have both so am speaking from personal experience).

People keep saying that there is no competition for the Show because of their exclusivity deal, but OOTP has a way to truly change that. If they can somehow focus on adding the *option* of user gameplay with even just respectable graphics and continue to grow that, I think in a few years they could be the game that rivals the Show.

If they somehow can eventually match the visuals, they'd someday outsell the Show too.

As long as they stay true to allowing it to still be a baseball sim, they have the potential to completely alter the industry.

And then if they do the same for football...just wow.

How much control does one have when managing a game? Can I tell what pitch the pitcher pitches? How about the batter how much control do I have there?

I'm hoping for an OOTP with manager mode plus graphics.

I started a season with Toronto last night...a few games in...some unrealistic results so far...after 5 games...no Home Runs for Donaldson...only 2 HR's for the entire team ! Encarnacion is something like 1 for 16 in batting ! And when using RA Dickey pitching, it says he is throwing breaking balls...but does not state knuckleballs even once !!!

Must have started the season on the road and not in the homer dome.
