Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
Big hits happened during the leather helmet days as well...

Good, people would complain less then

Nobody is forcing anyone to either play or watch football.
If anyone dare's to challenge the violence of football, people think it's a shot at the manliness of the sport, and lots of times if someone is insecure about manhood, they get offended
The game is designed for human bodies to crash into each other. That's why they have "armor". And now advancements are being made to prevent concussions.
Don't change the equipment, it's doing what it's designed to do. Change the coaching.
Seems to me that's what was already happening when he brought up that incident from 4 years ago. Made it seem like there's been outbreaks of it happening since then.
Concussions are going to happen whether the pads/helmets are heavier or lighter. The funny thing is that the heavier pads(from the big, bad NFL days of the 90s and beyond)were causing just as many head injuries as there is in today's safe conciliatory NFL while playing with lighter equipment.
I think it's as simple as you just don't understand the concept

Lol no. I understand the concept. It's just a terrible concept. It might be great in theory but I imagine it would be terrible in execution. Soccer has problems with concussions and it's not even a true contact sport.
