Sports version: Get rid of the draft. Rookies start out as free agents.

Wouldn’t work as well in MLB but I think it could work well in the NFL and especially the NBA.

No doubt an uncommon opinion lol. You'll just see most of these rookies going to the big markets or just whoever they grew up watching. NBA more than all sports I feel like this would be the worst issue.

You'd have to have a salary cap, maybe even some sort of rookie salary cap for it to work well. Players going to teams they grew up watching is part of the appeal to me.

You see guys going to kings, clippers and so on? Lakers, Celtics, Knicks among others would benefit most here.

Its an interesting concept. It would change free agency a great deal, do you sign a proven nba vet or a promising rookie if you only have room for one?

2k should add this to their GM mode with the rules changes/cba voted on between seasons

Most sports had this at some point and ended up with a draft because the big market teams were signing away all the talent. As you mentioned, the only way to make it work would be to limit it in some way via a salary cap/rookie cap or limiting each team to a number of signings/year.

I also don't think leagues would want to do this for another reason; $$$. The NFL draft (and the NBA draft to a smaller degree) has become an event that generates a lot of money for the league. Furthermore, all of the leagues benefit from the pre-draft analysis of prospects, etc. Bottomline, I don't see sports drafts going away.

After thinking about it, I discovered I fit into this opinion.

College basketball over NBA without a question for me. College football over NFL (other than Broncos games) also without a doubt for me.

Baseball, I fall under both as I enjoy Major League Baseball, the Rockies and the MLB postseason, but yet I'm also big on college baseball and especially the college world series and overall entire postseason tournament, so I'll call baseball a tie.

Hockey is also a tie. I enjoy watching NHL games (even non-Avalanche games) and always enjoy the Stanley Cup playoffs. Yet college hockey is a personal enjoyment of mine and I love watching the Frozen Four every year.

But in the overall picture, I definitely enjoy watching college sports far more than I do pro sports. And outside of hockey and baseball (which I can generally watch regardless of who's playing), any pro sports I do watch only consist of my favorite teams.

College baseball has the best postseason format of any sport. Going back and forth between double elimination tournaments and a best of three series does the best job of crowing a worth champion while maintaining a high level or drama and stakes so that it isn't all chalk. You need 10 wins and no more than 4 losses.

                            1) What means you with "just as bad?" Are we bad for ordering either way? Haha.

                            2) In terms of taste? Yes, for a steak. This doesn't always apply in something like a burrito, but alone I love that taste.

                            3) Never heard that before. Maybe that's just the "woodsy way" or something.

                            And to add on:

                            4) If you order rare and your buddy orders well done, you will get a steak greater than or equal to their size steak. That's never been untrue that I have seen in a restaurant.

                            5) You can always get it more cooked if need be. Can't reverse it. I always err to the side of "They're going to overcook it anyway, so I might as well get it as rare as possible."

What makes the tournament different than any other golf event, aside from still making caddies wear ridiculous white jump suits? I really can't stand that slogan/tag line.

Just to answer your question, it's the hardest golf course on the planet and "separates the boys from the men." Really makes every shot matter tremendously, so when you're down to the wire it makes for entertaining drama. That's hard to get on a golf course.

Also it was one that Tiger used to own, and you know how much we all love our Tiger.

I like the US Open more though. Probably just because it's right around summertime, and contrarily you see really low scores in that one. Less of a frustrating time out watching Thursday through Saturday.
