It is downright depressing to me to see how many youngsters on here don't care for the Beatles or Seinfeld.

Anyway...

I would list my stuff, but most of it would either violate the ToS and/or offend some people too much.

I'll list a few though:

1- If people have to get a license in order to legally get married, they should also have to get a license in order to legally procreate.

2- Wearing flat-billed ballcaps with the stickers still on them does not make you look cool, but it just points out to the rest of the world that you are a douchebag and should be punishable by death.

3- Even though I do listen to some rap and hip-hop music, people that listen to ONLY those genres of music seem to be extremely uncultured and unsophisticated to me. That has nothing to do with race either, but everything to do with having an opened/closed mind.

4- People that use the word "fake" to describe pro wrestling should have to get in the ring with a guy like Vader for 5 minutes. There is a HUGE difference between "scripted" and "fake" you know?

5- Breaking Bad is on the verge of becoming the greatest drama series in the history of television, pending the results of the final season that is coming this summer, of course.

As far as all of the "alcohol tastes terrible and I don't see the point of it" posts, what age are you all? I remember saying that up until I was 20ish. Now I think a good IPA tastes great. So does Scotch.

Main reason I ask that is because I wonder if your taste bud change, or if you just acquire the taste.

I'm 23. IPA's are still terrible. I like "cheap" beers, or dark beers (brown ales, porters, etc.), but the majority of the "high end" lighter (in color) beers taste horrible.

Rascal Flatts is amazing. No doubt about it. I still don't consider them to be "true country, but I still love their music.

As long as you don't care that they don't write all of their songs. What Hurts the Most is not only not written by them, but is often misinterpreted (or the message doesn't come across the same way) as by the original writer of the song.

I prefer that the bands/artists I like come up with their own material, especially if it's the singer. Don't get me wrong, I like covers and stuff too, but I don't live off their covers in the way that I like them the most.

Okay, perhaps I'm a bit idealistic. But, I still stand by what I said. There is absolutely no reason for guys to be paid multiple million dollars to play a game. Also, for many sports owners, the teams are not their main sources of income, they have others, why do they need to be raking it in off of fans? Why not make the game affordable for your consumers? I realize that, with player unions in place and greedy sharks for agents, player salaries will never decrease. Ever. But, honestly, there I see no reason for guys to be paid big bucks just because they can put a ball through a hoop, a bat on a ball, etc, while people like teachers, who make a huge difference in kids lives and is the one who molds the minds of children are getting such meager salaries. It's a huge disconnect, IMO. But you did prove my point that this is a very unpopular opinion.

Funny, my economics class actually explained that this thought is actually untrue just this quarter.

One big one for me.

South Park is one of the most overrated animated shows, ever.

Feel the exact opposite. South Park is the greatest animated show ever. Better than the Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, whatever else people put up there.

Along that line, Futurama is ****ing stupid. Simpsons and Family Guy are overrated, but still funny to me.

- Beer Tastes Awful (Doesn't matter the brand it all tastes like crap to me)

- Electric Music (Or Whatever you call it) Is not music

Totally agree with both of those.

-Dark Knight Rises is the worst movie of the trilogy

Well, yeah, but that's because BB/TDK are two incredible, incredible movies.

- Denzel Washington is the most overrated actor of our generation
- Jordan shoes suck

Disagree to an incredible extent on 1 and 2. Denzel is one of the best, even if most of his roles are similar.

Agree with the second. Jordan's, and most basketball shoes, are terrible to me.

Kitchen Nightmares is the best comedy on television

I agree. Ramsay is a reality show genius (Hell's Kitchen/Kitchen Nightmares are two of my favorites).

Jerry Sienfield is a horrible comedian and I hated his tv show.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Most overrated show of all time. Most overrated "talent" of all time, with Larry David (and Curb) right up there. So ****ing terrible.

Justin Timberlake is one of the most talented artists of this generation.

We were actually talking about this at a bar the other night. Completely agree. He's a "five-tool" talent in the entertainment industry.

As for some of mine:

-Seinfeld is ****ing terrible. That needed to be repeated.
-Seasons 2 and 3a of Entourage are two of my favorite seasons of TV.
-I really can't tell the difference between DVD/Blu-Ray with most movies, but I buy into the BR craze anyway.
-Next gen Maddens have been incredibly fun games.
-The NBA is terrible (don't think that it's that uncommon anymore)
-Undeclared is better than Freaks and Geeks
-Stephen King is one of the best writers of all time (Don't think enough people on OS read to agree/disagree with this )
-I don't know how uncommon this one will be, but Leonardo DiCaprio is the greatest actor of my generation
-The Patriot is Mel Gibson's best movie (with Braveheart second).
-Clint Eastwood is pretty terrible
-I no longer think Miley Cyrus is attractive, but I'd still **** her.
-I'd take modern classics over "old classics" or whatever you want to call them in just about every genre of entertainment.
-I have never understood the fascination with Jay-Z. I think he's pretty terrible.
-Onions are the worst thing in the world, I think.

I'm sure there's plenty more.

The songwriting process isn't the same, you don't need to rehearse your material nearly as much, etc.

To go along with my last post about weather, I absolutely LOVE when the sun goes down early. Sun is already starting to be out longer, and the time change is coming up in a couple weeks. Hate that they shortened standard time. Ugh.

As for teachers, Tracer is right. Depending on where you are, teachers are raking it in BIG TIME. Absolutely, disgustingly ROLLING in money.
