I believe they have this years rookies in their new uniforms. Correct me if I'm wrong on that.
Sweet. I work tomorrow so I'll see if they have them in.

Re: Official OS Sports Card Collecting Thread

I am wanting to get some baseball card sets from 1994-1999 - that 5-year timeframe. Any thoughts on options I might have? Thanks!

Can't wait to start my card collection today. Might have to make a few trips to ebay too. Lol

And if you have a shop nearby, maybe ask if they can help in locating some. Some shops are cool about helping, some not.

I'm actually excited to go to work today because I'll be picking up my first packs of cards in years.

I hate to be debbie downer but don't expect much if anything from packs at Walmart. Most of the time you aren't going to get anything, especially from retail.

Does Wal-Mart sell the sleeve card protecters?

Yes. They should be right by the cards.

And redsrule is right. Don't expect much, you might get lucky. I pulled a relic out of a pack of Topps this year that had some damage in on the card and sold for $23. In mint it was going for $43 on ebay. But in general, packs from Walmart give you less odds of good hits than hobby packs or boxes. Especially if you want to be a hit-seaker. I try to get packs from my local shop knowing I have a much better chance for autos and better parallels. Your best bet is to buy hobby boxes where you are guaranteed hits.
