Its pretty easy tbh. Once you know what screen is what its just muscle memory. I was able to run a full franchise, multiple years on the last one on PS4/5.

Not sure if this was mentioned or not, but I used google translate. Free app I believe, been awhile, but you hold the camera up and it translates on the spot. Once you do that a few times, you’ll remember where everything is. Can’t wait for this to come out. Have to figure out how to do that play Asia account though, digital only ps5

As ppl have said before there is absolutely no problem playing franchise on PYS. You will get used to the important screens and menus. After some time you know exactly what statistics are shown during an at bat. For exampke avg. versus left and right, avg. for runners in scoring postion, hits past 5 games etc.

You will know the kanjis for homeruns, rbi, left right, 1st - homebase, outfield, whatever there is absolutely no risk that you will get lost in this game if you will give it a chance.

I can guarantee you PYS2024 will be the best baseball game for the next decade!!! And it is not even close. Don't expect another PS5 release in '26 or '27. Maybe for handhelds. The last console release was 2019 and 2015 before.

If you miss out on this gem because of the language then shame on you tbh.


The best part about this game nobody has talked about is the commentary. Sure I don't understand 95% of it but it feels so fresh and exciting. It feels like the commentators are jumping out of their seats in some situations. This looks amazing. I've got my Japanese account ready. If players from different countries in all sports can communicate on the field/court/diamond and not speak the language, I'm sure I can fumble around and figure stuff out in the low stakes world of my couch.

PYS games have always been great and I expect much of the same with the new iteration. If there is one area I'd like to see an improvement though, it's the camera options for fielding. Sometimes balls are hit so hard and the screen moves so fast to your outfielder, you have to take a minute to get your bearings and find where the ball's headed.

That's disappointing at least they don't release annually so whenever it drops we'll get our money's worth.
