I have a copy for every console since 2004. From Xbox 360 to Nintendo switch. 20 years worth of them. This is no doubt my favorite sports game to play. And now PS5. Just pre-ordered 3 copies. This is going to be the best one yet.

Do you buy multiple copies so you can play them on all your systems or do you keep one as a collectors item?

Preordered the game on PS5 this morning. I should have the game a week after release if previous shipping times are an accurate prediction.

I actually play them and save them after new version arrives. This time around I bought 2 extra copies as gifts.

So North Americans who are planning to play this game … is PS5 the only option ? From what I gather Steam version is region locked so can’t be purchased here … does the PS5 version work without issue on North American consoles ? Or is there some sort of other workaround or hack that needs to be done ?

You can create a separate Japanese Steam account. The tough part is that you have to make a purchase using a Japanese address. I was able to do this through the help of a friend who lives in Japan by using his address with a VISA gift card.

You can create a separate Japanese Steam account. The tough part is that you have to make a purchase using a Japanese address. I was able to do this through the help of a friend who lives in Japan by using his address with a VISA gift card.

PS5 (PS in general) are region free, so you can play any games from other countries on your US PS5. If the game ha DLC that you would like to buy, then you will need to have a PSN account for the country it was originally released for and a form of payment for said account. In the past I have purchased DLC for Japanese games through my Japan PSN account by buying PSN cards and redeeming through that account. But if you just wish to play the game, you can buy it confidently. It will work as any other game. It's even backwards compatible. I have been playing my professional baseball spirit 2019 (PS4) on my PS5 waiting for this baby to arrive.

I'm hoping there will be a legal way to use it on Steam. I'm not resorting to the PS5 version yet because it will be much easier to mod English translations on PC.

Yeah I’ll hold out hope for that as well. Would be great to have this on PC.
