I wish they were a bit more open with the reason other than they want to put out a quality product. Wonder if the date was too ambitious for them to begin with. Can't lie this for me this is a bit worrying being only a few weeks out from launch.

Not sure I quite understand that narrative. If their aim is to make the best thing possible, then a delay is the only thing I do want to hear. Same thing for a film with reshoots, or something of the sort.

Now, if they said it was delayed a year or something, then that might sounds like there are other infrastructural issues that could lead to an indefinite delay, or cancelation. If that were the case, then I'd absolutely be worried. That is not the case here. Now, if you think that this interrupts their next two-year cycle a bit, I'd say we're in the clear but I can see why that would be another pressing concern for yearly-released titles.

Will the month make a world of difference? Not likely, but at this stage if they're only a few weeks out, everything is QA anyway. I doubt their core product will even make any more roster changes, much less address the oversized ball.

I get what you're saying, and furthermore if I know I'm supposed to have something at a certain time I'd like to have it then, but I never see this as a bad sign of the finished product.

I'm willing to bet the delay has to do with the PC release of Final Fantasy XVI being on 17 September 2024.

Can someone explain how to purchase this game in the US? I can’t seem to find a clear cut answer.

Will the game even show up on my PSN store?

Do you need to purchase one of those cards from Playasia to be able to buy the game?

This is my first time getting the chance to play PYS so sorry if these are dumb questions.

This is my first time getting the chance to play PYS so sorry if these are dumb questions.

If you want a physical copy, Play Asia is the obvious choice. Game is region free and will play on your PS5.

If you want to go digital then you must create a new profile on your PS5, a Japanese one. There are several Youtube videos on how to do this. Then you can buy PS5 Yen gift cards from Play Asia, pretty much sent to you instantly. Purchase the game and once it is released you can play it on your non-Japanese account if you wish. You might want to get a translator app on your phone, will make it easier when you go in to purchase the game.

I went the digital route and have the game purchased on my Japanese account. The countdown timer (days and hours until release) I see is running.

I've purchased the last few versions of PYS from Play-Asia and haven't had any issues. I usually get the packages 5-7 days after it is shipped. One year it took two weeks, but I was able to track it the entire time.

This has been my experience in the past as well. I've purchased quite a bit from PlayAsia going back some 15-16 years. Overall, very solid transactions.
